Hound definitely a Swansea win for me. Keep kicking Bournemouth whilst they are down. If we can get a 7/8 point gap to them it'll be very hard to claw back at this stage

This, or a draw. Bournemouth don't have a league game on Saturday and will be half focussed on the cup derby v Soton.

If they draw for example, if we can win both games this week (which we can do) then the gap to them will be 10 pts with (for them) 9 to play.

A draw between Swansea - Cardiff on Saturday would also be nice.

Staying in the top 6 this year is a bit like staving off relegation in recent seasons - you want to stay above the line (top 6/bottom 3) so want the teams directly below you to drop points.

As for the teams above, if they are playing teams just below us then you want them to take the points else it would be good if they lost to keep that slim chance of automatic promotion for Reading alive.

So, tonight we want Derby, Rotherham and Swansea to win.

A big fan of a draw between our rivals in all cases. Minimise total points gained across the board.

1 point a piece is less than 3 points to either.

Once someone is about 11 points ahead or behind I think they're too far off to really worry or be a rival and a win for them becomes preferable.

Then there's the question of Bournemouth vs Swansea, a Bournemouth win increases our chances of chasing the top two but closes the gap to 7th and vice-versa if Swansea win.

So I guess that's the optimism vs pessimism debate.

With 10 games to go and the position we're in, I think I am fine with any of the top 6 winning as long as we keep winning and making the gap to 7th bigger.

Yep the last thing we need is Bournemouth recovering form. Swansea win for me too. We have too much to do to finish top two.

As long as we average 2 points a game for the last 10 games, anyone overtaking us and pushing us out of the play off spots will have had to do bloody well.

As for the play offs, and assuming Norwich are up, I hope Brentford go up in auto as well, because i think whether we play Swansea, Barnsley or Watford, I would fancy our chances. (No jinxo)

I'm fine with Brentford going up, they've done very well to consistently be up there. Screw teams with parachute payments, so us or Barnsley for the play-offs.

Yes agree - Bournemouth not playing Sat either due to the cup so if they lose/draw tonight we've got an opportunity to put serious points between us

Doesn't look like Derby are doing us any favours tonight.

As I posted this, Rotherham aren't doing us any favours either.

League table is now reflective of the quality of the respective squads.

I think with 15-20 games to go I’d have a different outlook, but at this point of the season it’s all about our own results. I wouldn’t care if we won every game 1-0 from now until the end of the season.

I think so. The top four are pulling well clear

We were done with top two when we lost to Wycombe. In the live table Watford are now 11 points ahead of us.

Swansea look a oxf*rd shambles at the back. How had they conceded so few until about 5 games ago.

Bournemouth are only an issue if we don't do our own bit. Fail to win tomorrow's game and we deserve to feel a bit nervous.

Swansea have been pants for a while but have used a lot of luck, that may be running out and likely to be playing a Cardiff team on Saturday who just have to win esp. if they don't find a goal in the last 10 tonight.

They could be catchable.

Watford looking good for that 2nd spot with derby equalising

Brentford have been pretty unimpressive since beating us

Wasn't seeing Derby coming back like that.
