Just remembered that Brighton away and Huddersfield away in the same week now. Needless to say, absolutely huge week, let alone Newcastle a few days later IIRC. Then our last couple of games this season I believe are Forest Wigan Rotherham and Burton. Provided we pick up sufficient points in the coming games you know what - I reckon we can ruddy do this.

boycey Well this is all getting rather exciting.

I know! Play offs looking very realistic but the chance to break into the top 2 is also possible! Either way it's absolutely gripping stuff

The thought of what could be is making me want to jizz myself. Also watching Brighton drop points and start to falter is a sweetener

Oh and that interview with Huddersfield players:

Nahki Wells - seems a really decent guy and has a bit about him. 100 English goals or something. Not the usual football interview of "yea you know we won that's the main thing, like yea we are happy."

Izzy brown - also seems a decent guy too

All this optimism is making me anxious.

Can't we go back to moaning about false league positions?

Norwood wouldn't get anywhere near our starting eleven at the moment.
Having said that I don't think many of them would.

Luvvin it. :P

The beginning of the end.

3 Not allowed!
I have a strong feeling this is the beginning of the end for us this season. We've been poor for a long time, no investment during the transfer window and 2 capitulations in 2 games.

I think we can hope for play-offs at best and we all know how that's likely to go.

Followed by a mass exodus of players who have stayed only for one last crack at promotion.
Ban the ban!

Let's not get carried away guys. Although it is looking like it will definitely be us and Huddersfield going up automatically.

Lots of knee-jerkery from both Reading and Brighton fans tonight.
But remember, we haven't caught up with them quite yet.
Let's hope Jaap and the guys take a more sanguine approach.
Win next game.

pos pld gd pts next
1 Brighton 28 22 60 brentford (a) sun
2 Newcastle 28 33 59 derby (h) sat
3 Reading 29 5 55 ipswich (a) sat
4 Leeds 29 13 54 hudders (a) sun
5 Huddersfield 28 5 52 leeds (h) sun
6 Derby 28 9 46 newcastle (a) sat
7 Sheff Wed 28 5 46 wigan (a) tomorrow
8 Barnsley 29 4 44 preston (h) sat
9 Fulham 28 14 43 brum (a) sat
10 Norwich 28 7 43 cardiff (a) sat
11 Preston 29 1 41 barnsley (a) sat

Can see Huddersfield closing the gap on us but IF we can keep the winning streak going at Ipswich with 2nd v 6th & 5th v 4th it could get even more interesting
long way to go yet ... feet on ground .... each game as it comes ..... etc ...etc

Rafa might be about to get sacked tonight.

Edit: Sorry might be about to depart the club.

Funnily enough I though everything was quite measured until I read this.

Why the fcuk shouldn't Reading fans (most of whom would have taken top 10 in August) be excited about the fact that top 2 is suddenly not out of sight :|

No chance of him walking away before the summer, apparently.
