Ascotexgunner
tidus_mi2 We could very realistically be back in the bottom 3 next Saturday.

Actually oxf*rd that, just realised Rotherham are playing Norwich, that would be an upset.

Norwich didn't look that great tonight. Their starting to look nervous.
Our run in is bloody awful as well. The injuries problems added as well I am seriously more concerned than I was 24 hours ago. Only saving grace could be Wigan's sh+thess....but then again they were better than us for 85 minutes on Sat.

I expect Wigan to be above us on Saturday night. The euphoria from last Saturday has been very short lived. I really want to see the team far more switched on than they have been. We also need to be more pragmatic. A point at Stoke would be a good point. Let’s go there set up to frustrate Stoke and set out to get a point. We could have done without Preston winning tonight. They are right in the play off mix now.

Stoke don't win too many (fingers crossed) but Preston have now won 6 away games on the bounce (including Boro), that, Hull, and Norwich may be our three toughest games yet

18 37 -14 43 QPR
==========================
21 37 -14 37 Millwall
19 37 -16 36 Reading
20 37 -19 36 Wigan
22 37 -20 36 Rotherham
==========================
23 37 -34 29 Bolton
24 37 -32 23 Ipswich

NEXT GAMES

15th

Hull City v Queens Park Rangers
Preston North End v Birmingham City
Stoke City v Reading
Rotherham United v Norwich City
Wigan Athletic v Bolton Wanderers
Ipswich Town v Nottingham Forest

QPR need to raise their game a lot to snatch a point at Hull. Likely home win.
Preston are flying, Birmingham slipping. Likely Home win.
Stoke only one win in six at home. Good chance of a draw, reasonable chance of Reading win
Rotherham would bite your hand off for a draw versus the leaders. Draw or Norwich with Norwich strong favourites.
Wigan lose this they are so deep in it. A three-way result but I fancy Bolton to take something, preferably the win.
Ipswich will do well to draw, need a win. Irrelevant

29th

Leeds United v Millwall
Reading v Preston North End
Wigan Athletic v Brentford
Derby County v Rotherham United
Queens Park Rangers v Bolton Wanderers
Ipswich Town v Hull City

Interesting for Bolton. If they can somehow grab a win at QPR, they then playtime woeful QPR (any result there is good for us)
VERY tough for Millwall, tough, too for Reading, but chance of a draw at home
Wigan not as good as Brentford (next season's dark horses) but Brentford have to finish.
If QPR lose on 15th, if Bolton have beaten Wigan, QPR will be fearing another defeat
Ipswich have to win. Unlikely.

Old Man Andrews We are safe as houses. All this what if this and what if that bullshit is a waste of all your times. We are clearly going to get more points than Wigan or Rotherham, don't even bring Bolton or Ipswich into the equation. All this panicking is silly.

A big chance for Wigan to move away from danger in the next couple of games.

Huh? Have I missed something, Preston and Birmingham have no impact whatsoever on us

NewCorkSeth QPR are doing this on purpose.

QPR beat Leeds then lose to Rotherham. The other sides like Millwall and Rotherham show fight and spirit and get results against top teams we just lay down and die.

Ajayi with another 2 goals tonight. He also did us twice, for the late equalizer at our place, and at their's.
Showing what tall CB's can do for you in Champ. And we gave the big money to Liam Moore :(

In all probability but if they lose their next one and then lose to Bolton
who will be fighting for their lives, things might look very different March 30th

Lost NINE, drawn 2 Won just the one. 5 points from 36

1-2 LOSE Rotherham
0-0 Stoke
1-0 Leeds <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
0-3 LOSE Brentford
0-2 LOSE Middlesbro
2-3 LOSE WBA
1-2 LOSE Bristol
3-4 LOSE Birmingham
1-2 LOSE Wigan
1-4 LOSE Preston
0-1 LOSE Sheffield United

Tbf he played in midfield against us second half, and one of his goals last night was a shot from outside the area apparently. He’s no Morrison style big clogger

Actually thought at our place he was one of the best players I’ve seen all season, esp being in a poor side. Kept Nelson quiet. 5 goals in the last 4/5 games now to add to his defensive ability

Possible option for us if Rotherham go down and we stay up, hope our scouts took note.

Obvs a very tired point, but we’d be a massively better side if we had him or say Ethan James at the base of our midfield. Eza might have been that man, but fcuk knows where he is at

Snowball Rotherham are real fighters, can't argue with that.

DDDDDWLW (and the defeat was at Sheffield Utd)

11 points from 8 games

Suggest this bottom 3 (a lot depending on Saturday)

Wigan
Bolton
Ipswich

Yep good from by Rotherham of late. Quick guess at which team has picked up 1 more point that them over the last 8 games.

This was always the one of the most likely scenarios after the midweek games - QPR was always a game Rotherham had to win, annoying they did it so late but fair play we've done the same - shows we are both battling but in different styles..

Only the Millwall game was a slight shock but Brum have collapsed over the past 6 games (W1 D1 L4), shame we play them last.

If you want a big concern given our run-in is the lack of points against the current top 6 in comparison to our rivals:

1. Millwall P9 Pts 9
2. Bolton P10 Pts 6
3. Rotherham P8 Pts 5
4. Wigan P10 Pts 4
5. Ipswich P9 Pts 3
6. Reading P9 Pts 0

Would suggest that we really cannot live with the top teams whilst the others have managed to nick points. Worth noting that most of the wins teams have got were early season or against Derby (Millwall have done the double over them and Bolton/Rotherham both beat them)

Would likely suggest that that 0 needs to change in the games v Norwich, WNA and Boro.

Slight caveat to that Rotherham run though, they've had a seriously easy run of games. Id think they'd actually be slightly disappointed with their points tally from it

out of interest, wtf did they sack Holloway at QPR? He had them improving and playing decent football last year. McClaren must be approaching sack time
