genome Going back to the subject of Leeds, an article on their OS from the end of last season...

https://www.leedsunited.com/news/team-n ... ckets-faqs

As a clear statement of our intent to gain promotion, in the event that the club does not reach at least the Play-Offs in the 2016/17 season, we will offer all Season Ticket Holders who purchase their Season Ticket before the May 31 deadline a 25% refund on their Net Season Ticket price.

Apparently they are looking at a seven-figure payout. LOL

LOLoveLOLy.

In addition, should general admission Season Ticket sales surpass 15,000 by July 31, 2016, and the club does not reach at least the Play-Offs, the Season Ticket refund, for qualifying Season Ticket Holders only (see below), will increase to an incredible 50% of the Net Season Ticket Price.

Did they not exceed the 15,000 ST holder margin?

Until the last day when Fulham do Sheff Wed over and get Reading. Then cue all the media branding the tie over before it's started and how Fulham will go on to easily win the play offs etc.

@CaulkinTheTimes

My understanding is that HM Revenue & Customs are investigating transfer activity at Newcastle United & that Lee Charnley has been arrested.

Uh-oh. Slap on the wrist coming for them then.

Sky Sports News HQ understands that police raided West Ham United and Newcastle United early on Wednesday morning.

It's probably too late in the season for any point deduction if one was forthcoming, considering all the legal battles which could well arise from this, it will drag on well past season's end.

That said, yes, aim for third, besides, the way things are panning out, 3rd will probably end up playing Sheff Wed in the semi-finals which I think would be preferable to Fulham, who will likely be 4th or 5th.

would much rather Fulham stay down if we do. The Champ is looking incredibly northern next year, esp if Hull go down. It would be nice to have some closer away games and nearish neighbours.

The same Beagrie who said back in September that it would be "incredible" if we managed to get in the top six with our squad this year?

And the same Beagrie who said Fulham's squad wasn't good enough to make a late charge?

What makes you think the media will react in that way?
Two of the worst defences around could make the games good viewing for the neutrals.
Whoever we play I think the media will suggest that a team losing 7-1 at Norwich can't be taken seriously as promotion prospects but we fans know that our Jekyll and Hyde team is capable of anything.

but on the plus side if it is full of northern teams we must surely bring back the Northern Bastard song - one of my faves

Hi Hound

I like your posting style.

have you ever thought of posting on other board forums, such as Anything Else?

I think someone of your particular skillset, sense of humour, and way with words would really go down a storm over there.
