Betting on your own team to be relegated is why no one takes you seriously...

In double d's defence, judas bets are a no brainer. We stay up, he's happy and doesn't care that he's lost £50, or whatever. We go down, he's gutted, but at least he's made a few hundred quid to soften the blow. What's the issue? It's not like he'd be willing us to go down just to win the bet. It's almost the opposite. You make the bet to ensure we stay up.

I personally have no issue with Judas bets. I do take issue with people claiming they did that, as evidence of how they, and only they, knew how this season was going to pan out.

Especially if they didn't even place the bet.

But, it's dd, so I expect nothing of him/her anyway

It's not the judas bet for me, it's lying about making a big judas bet.

Betting on my own team to win, doesn't make it more likely they'll win.

Betting on my team for relegation means simply that I think the odds are higher than they should be and it's therefore a good bet. END
