Would have quite liked Wells

Not Hemed really. Think Bod is as good a bet tbh and a lot younger

Zip Yep QPR now have the firepower to move up the League. Would have preferred Wells or Hemed to Baldock too.

Defence seems more important.

Even if QPR are now a good enough team for mid-table, that would mean
approximately a GD close to zero for the next 42 games and thus
still a negative GD overall.

Last season 7th place finish had a GD of +11, so, roughly, QPR would need
to perform at the level of eventual 7th place to finish on GD Zero.

They are effectively on -1 points

andrew1957 QPR sign Hemed and Wells. Two very good signings who are both much better than Baldock IMO. I think QPR will start to make a come back and so we need to get our act together quickly.

I'm amazed they got those two

I'm also pished off we didn't. Much better business I think, and can see them starting to improve a bit now

So they were really punished for the FFP breaches - Not!

Gourlay better never blame FFP for lack of transfers again because you clearly benefit far more from breaching them than complying - you even get your club loans written off for you!

Brentford losing to Blackburn a bizarre one. Thought Blackburn were utterly woeful against us

If only the game was that simple. QPR who lost their lost 2 games heavuly beat Wigan who stuffed Stoke 3-0 away during the week.

Villa make a ridiculously good loan signing in Abraham then. WTF is he spending another season in the champ?

And all that stuff about Villa and FFP was all BS wasn’t it?

QPR sowed you can breach it as much as you like as long as you get promoted and then stay up, so why not just stick two fingers up.

The FA/FL are never going to seize control of finances / assets or boot them. At worst they get a small deferred fine.

I'm not overly convinced who our league rivals are these days.

Assuming its fellow relegation candidates, a few have made noteworthy deals on deadline day II (including a few ex players and others linked to us in recent weeks):
- Hull have loaned 2017/18 RFC loanees Chris Martin and Tommy Elphick.
- Ipswich have loaned young defender Matthew Pennington from Everton (he was on loan at Leeds last season), and Jon Walters from Burnley.
- Sheffield Wednesday have loaned Josh Onomah from Spurs, and Michael Hector from Chelsea.
- QPR have loaned Geoff Cameron from Stoke.
- Sheff Utd have signed Conor Washington (free transfer - contract was seemingly terminated today by mutual agreement to facilitate the move).

At the other end of the likely table, Villa have loaned Tammy Abraham (What FFP restrictions?), while Leeds have loaned Izzy Brown from Chelsea.

Reported RFC target Cameron Jerome ended up moving to Goztepe in Turkey (reportedly rejecting a deal to Ipswich on account of his previous stint with Norwich)

Heard Brum were also facing a points deduction

Maybe our best chance of avoiding relegation this year sadly

Actually think it’s a shame for Bolton. Not a talented side but very well set up and disciplined - the players and manager don’t deserve it

Read their owners press release last night. Very short but says something like:

We are disappointed that they're not accepting our offer of repaying the full amount with substantial interest on top

Odd. Read on their forum that apparently the outstanding bill is £4m (doesn't seem that much) + £300k interest. Some fans are saying that it's odd that the offer isn't being accepted.

Speculation may be that the owner actually offered to pay it in instalments rather than all up front.

Either way, I can't believe that if an offer to pay the full amount + interest was made, that it would not be accepted. Doesn't make any sense.

Looks like Bolton have come to a deal with their main debtor. Need EFL approval though. So basically, they are currently in limbo. Fingers crossed for them.

This isn't done yet. They still may escape administration. Their fans are hoping an agreement is sorted out tomorrow.

I like Bolton, wonderful heritage, I really hope they come back. They have worked really hard to keep their heads above water and the backroom staff and manager have done a great job under difficult conditions.

What the hell am I reading?! This is the same club that denied us promotion in '95 and you're wishing them well?

Fuck Bolton Wanderers. If any club can't sort it's own finances then they deserve everything they get, regardless of the manager. I can't believe you two - you are not supporters. Please fold your accounts.
