Reading starting XI vs Brighton: Al-Habsi, Gunter, Blackett, McShane (c), Moore, Evans, Williams, Mutch, Beerens, McCleary, Kermorgant.

Looks strong. Very harsh on Obita unless he isn't 100%. Also Meite won't be chuffed missing out altogether

Still a strong squad now, plenty of options. Nice that you have the likes of Kelly, Swift and Grabban who can come on

Presumably 4-3-3:

........................Al-Habsi
..Gunter, McShane, Moore, Blackett
..........Williams, Evans, Mutch
...McCleary, Kermorgant, Beerens

Harsh on Kelly, if he's fully fit, but glad to see Evans start. Not far off what I'd consider our best XI.

Like the look of the team today. As long as we line up in sensible formation (I'm thinking 4-4-1-1) then we should be able to nullify their midfield and break quickly with the pace of our wingers. As long as we line up in a sensible formation that is...

Sutekh Blackett v Knockaert :o

That has me worried. Unless Stam seeks to bamboozle the world by putting Gunter at LWB with Williams at RWB.

Agree on the Blackett one. He has been excellent at CB recently but Obita is a much better full back

I see Sky are persisting with their irritating cut aways to crowd and management

We look so vulnerable. Just a matter of time before we make a mistake in our defence and concede a goal.

Evans basically playing as a centreback. Not keen... it means there's fewer options available in front of the defence and your CBs are miles from each other.
