Dixeyroyal when was the last time you saw Gunter win a tackle?

Like I always say, if you don't like a player you see his mistakes - if you like a player, you see his successes. We're only objective about players we don't particularly care about either way!

Great comment.

Unfortunately, all I see when I see Gunter is those damned socks pulled up over his knees, then all objectivity goes out the window.
If ONLY he would turn those socks down!

Hope you're reading, Gunts!

Excuse me ? .....Bruno Salter at Brighton for a starter

Watching Gunter even made me think of making a footballing comeback.

So how do you explain his Wales performances?

He plays better for Wales. BUT that isn't the Championship is it? :|

McCleary does it as well! Maybe it was a thing at Forest....

And being very sad, I've found an image of Chris Gunter at Cardiff, and lo and behold - proper socks. Think it's GMac to blame here!

McCleary didn't always do it IIRC. Gunter is clearly the style guru.

He was fantastic for Wales. It isn't just a Stam thing - he has mainly underperformed for Reading. Maybe having GMac there gets in his way.

Could ask the same about Robson - Kanu

Gunter pretty much done the same with Wales as he does with us - run forward , stop, pass back. He rarely loses it but rarely creates much - but he's playing with much better players with Wales. Strangely on the occasions that he takes chances and goes forward and crosses he looks good. Perhaps with a more defensive winger he would be better. I wonder if we should consider pushing him into midfield as I think Watson looks a great defender when he's played

Fuk NO!

Everyone knows that Gunter is the best right back in the Championship. It's not disputed.

You're having a laugh.

that defending for the 2nd Newcastle goal was Gunter-at-Ipswich-esque. Basically showed him into the box, and gave the winger all the time in the world to pick a pass. Awful stuff.
