He has the right look for a career in finance and investing. Unlike most of the mongs on here.

Does he actually have any investment qualifications or by investments does he mean spending his hard earned footballer moola?

He studied sports science at university if that helps.

Not sure if that gets you a job at many investment banks these days, or at least I'd hope not. Could explain the whole recession thing mind.

:D
From my knowledge of "the whole recession thing", it was caused at least in part by people being too educated for their own good, and coming up with complicated algorithms that they couldn't control, rather than using more old-fashioned and simpler methods.

Anyway, back on topic

Yann strikes me as being pretty smart - he may well have been studying for some "Financial Advisor" type qualification for the last while. You'd imagine he'd have the contacts as well - he could specialise in telling footballers how to invest their excess income now, to hedge against a long long retirement.

Anyway, just another reason I'd like Reading to go up this season, think he merits another shot at the PL, even if it's only as a regular sub.

Yep, delighted that we've got him for another seaso, and delighted that he will finish a decent footballing career at ours.

So much more than just a goalscorer.

He said in the interview he's hoping to finish his career in the Premier League. So it looks like he's pushing for a move to another club.

Yep, Yann deserves a shot at the Premier League with us after what happened to him at Bournemouth.

Which is good, because he hasn't been a great goalscorer for us.

Hopefully be good to see him go out on a high with us next year. He's been very good this season, in spite of his flaws.

What an excellent signing he has turned out to b. Had my doubts at times, but the man is turning into a bit of a hero. If only he was 5 years younger.

Put in a real shift today. No hesitation in dropping back to defend in the last 20 minutes. Good example for the younger lads. Particularly with the absence of McShane.
