I agree with Top Flight, that Andy Carroll goal for England v Sweden in slow motion was a thing of beauty.

Top Flight Yes. I love a headed goal. There is nothing more beautiful in football than to see a wonderful cross into the box met with a thumping header to send the ball flying past the keeper into a bulging net.

30 yard top corner screamers, perfectly connection bicycle kicks, goals with slick passing one touch moves, huge crunching tackles, the new blonde steward in Y26...

Can think of a lot of things in football more beautiful than a headed goal.

None of those things are as beautiful as a header.

Just arguing for the sake of arguing now.

Nameless No way would West Ham sell Oxford
No way would Oxford join us
He'll be a target for all the top teams in Europe.
Our best option would be a season long loan but I would suspect he would demand a written guarantee of a starting place in every game.

It's unlikely I know, but West Ham are not clear of relegation yet. And if they do go down, and we get promoted .... maybe we would be a more inviting prospect for Oxford than West ham would be? Just dreaming!!

If West Ham did decide to sell for any reason then they would probably want more money than we have ever spent on players, in total, in our history.
And if they did decide to sell he'd be heading to a team with a rather tighter grip on it's Premiership place than we would have next year !
I could see Man City paying huge sums for another young English centre back to train on and partner Stones, or Arsenal wanting him, or Liverpool.

Bit like the Leeds game, we were excellent in the 1st half, and then lost the plot in the 2nd half. But just when Blackburn were building up a head of steam, with their goal-Macca smacked in the third and game over. Still a good night.

Ratings IMHO:

Habsi 4: Indecisive, poor kicking, a game to forget for him.
Gunter 6 : Very good 1st half, but then folded in the 2nd-is he really captaincy material ? Somebody needed to give the team a rocket in the 2nd half , and that will never be Gunts way.
Blackett 6: Very solid and a great cross for the 1st goal-so inconsistent.
Moore 8: Well in control throughout & some nice touches-but unable to lift the team when we are under the pump.
Oxford 8: One poor pass and that was it. Very good player.
Kelly 7: Without reaching the level of Saturday-very good.
Much 6: Poor 1st half , but then got better, the longer the game went on.Never going to pull up trees however.
Swift 6: Some lovely touches-but when it gets physical, he struggles.
Popa 6: Did'nt let himself down & will get better.
Kermit 9: MOM -gave it everything as usual. Two great goals.
Roy 6: Missed chances; but reasonably effective. At this stage of the season-I just don't think there is ever going to be a great game in him.

Macca: Great goal-but that was it-could have had a hat trick-whats wrong with him-we need him back to his best fast for the Playoffs.
Williams: Fell over a lot -not one of his better games.
Iliori : Showed some promise-for next season-a CB only however.

Ref: Very strange-seemed happy to let the defender to take ball and man in the tackle-which as I understand it is not right ?

Blackburn: A once great club going down the drain-they at least showed a lot of spirit and vim 2nd half-which is more than Leeds did-just goes to show that the margin between success and failure in this division is very thin.

Good effort Bobby, I'd say that's a good mix.

That first one is lush, but she dresses like one of my ex's so for that reason, I'm out.

Not sure you'd want them. Good bod and fairly pretty but without makeup is a different story. Lovely girl though, just a bit dull.

Nice but small - was a fan of the push up bra, the deceptive cow. :x

Unless you're talking about the steward, in which case don't know (yet), was wearing a really big coat with fur bits, and a standard hi-vis.

Is Oxford an option to buy at the end of the season?

There's one in Y20 as well.. A positive new policy I'd say!
