Davezk Gunter was getting destroyed in the first half.

Was doing two mans jobs with Popa being so ineffectual.

It was a frustrating game to watch from an RFC point of view. It seemed that every 50/50 and ricochet went their way, partly down to their higher intensity, partly down to our ineptitude, and partly down to some rotten luck.

That said, we showed decent hard to get back into the game when otherwise we have crumbled this season.

Has to be said, I thought the officiating was absolutely atrocious from all three officials. There were no huge calls to make, but they were all getting things consistently wrong, and the referee in particular loved being the centre of attention.

I don't feel too disheartened, and let's hope we get that draw (minimum) next week that guarantees our thoroughly deserved top six place.

Lower West That was embarrassing. Stam's fixation with a set style of play maybe his downfall. Tactically naive from the kick off. Is this Stam's way of telling the owners what investment is required. In order to achieve the goals he has set personally. All that was required was a single point to secure a play off place.

Why do football fans use the expression "tactically naive"?

It basically says they know more about football than the manager. In this case a manager that had played at the very highest level.

Yeah right.

Dear Champions League and multiple Premier League winner Jaap Stam, you're tactically inept, but don't worry Dave from Whitley has the solution

For a great defender. Having a team that has conceded 49 goals in 22 league away games. Something is awry. Out of the 22 we've only kept 4 clean sheets (Rotherham, Cardiff, Birmingham and Sheffield). That's 2.72 goals a game for the remainder.

Forest's time wasting was infuriating. Kicking/throwing the ball away. Stopping us take our throw ins. The ballgirls just decided to go AWOL and not do their job. Pathetic way of trying to grind out the win they should be embarrassed.

3-2 flatered us we were well beaten today. It could have been another Norwich if Forest had been more clinical. It'a only when they got a bit nervous we pulled a couple of goals back even then with 15 minutes to go we created nothing. I'm not going to be to critical becouse we should still make the play offs which in itself is a great achievment. But that's all it will be play like that we will be out after the first leg.

Davezzzzzzzzzk - they're in a relegation battle, welcome to football because this is just what happens. I've no issue with any of that sort of shizzle.

Strange one this.
For 50 minutes we were poor. The next 20 we get back into the fame and Forest start panicking. Forest tried to slow the game down to stop our momentum and the game fizzled out.

Popa WTF! Like a rabbit caught in the headlights Made Beerens look like Messi
Gunter not at his best. Perhaps should have had a penalty
Williams Kelly and Swift not at their best
Blackett and Grabbans probably the pick of the bunch

The referee was atrocious. The ironic cheers when he gave a foul or throw to us says it all.

Oh well me move on. A point in the next two should do it.

Huddersfield seem on the ropes as well, would rather finish 4th if we end up playing them in the semi's

Gordons Cumming As Stam said they were more aggressive than us. It was interesting to see Garath Mcleary join us all in the stands. Very brave of him.

It was nice to see but don't understand why it was brave?

Can't really understand the 'we were well beaten' and 'could have been four or five' posts. Yes we were poor for the first half hour and let in two very sloppy goals at the start of the 2nd half.......However in the last 25 when we controlled the game, it could easily have been 3-3. In fact if we'd equalised with a decent amount of time left, we'd have won. Forest were very impressive until we scored our first. After that they looked like a team looking over their shoulder. They were incredibly shakey at the back and we should have taken more advantage.

Utterly clueless rubbish for the first hour and then played well for the last half an hour. A bit like the Derby game but in reverse.

Did not understand why on earth Popa was being used as a wing back as he looked hopeless in that role and was being rinsed by Carayol all afternoon.

Passing was directionless and just out of sorts, everything was being intercepted or kicked out of play or hit too early or too late.

A truly dreadful first half was only bettered by the superb way Reading completed throwing the game away in the first 10 minutes of the second and at one point it looked like another Norwich was heading the team's way.

But somehow Reading regained some respectability - so why didn't Evans and Beerens start? - and almost got an truly undeserved point out of things.

On the upside Birmingham could be looking down the barrel of a 12 bore after their visit to Villa later and at least Leeds look to have done the honourable thing by falling on their sword - what's the betting Garry Monk will be sacked at the season end.

Unless you experiment with these players, you will never know what they are capable of. At least Stam learned something about Popa. That will help him with his tactical decision making going forward. That's why it probably needs 3 years to build a team. The fact that Stam has done it in just 10 months is amazing. Well done Stam. He still needs to learn about his players and experiment whenever he gets a chance.

Forest away when we are as good as in the playoffs is as good a time as any to do a little bit of experimentation.

Be grateful that Leeds have taken only 1 point from the last 18. Still only 6 behind us.
