The Premier League South

by Top Flight » 20 May 2017 14:00

If we are the team that manages to get promoted and it is a big if because Huddersfield are an outstanding side then the Premier League will be like the National League South.

In the south there already are:

Crystal Palace,
West Ham United
Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal
Chelsea
Watford
Brighton & Hove Albion
Southampton
Bournemouth

Every other away game will be a local trip.

You didn't even mention Ikea in your OP so you wouldn't even get an interview there

So if we go up the prem will look very southern biased with 10 southern and 10 northern teams?

Well, as there is more to this country than just the North and the South, no.

All of those teams listed could hold a strong claim to being southern but I suspect that Leicester, Swansea, West Brom would all claim to be anything but northern. Swansea are probably further south than some of the ones listed?

Stoke would be a moot point on whether they are midland or northern but they certainly claim to be midland. So, the balance is a bit southern heavy.

You forgot Man Utd, a genuine southern team.

Noticed the same the other day. The prem is very southern overall, whilst the champ is basically a tour of all the various dumps up north

Another good reason to go up next week
