Don’t worry, there’s no way we’d want him back.

Good player but I think bridges at Norwich under this management team have been burned.

Time for him to get on with his career elsewhere, seems like he’s off to a good start with you. I’m delighted as despite a good point for Ipswich, the net result of this round of fixtures is them being another step closer to the trap door.

Jagermesiter1871 Both him and Martinez look a different class to the rest of this shit show.

I’d add Miazga to that.

Nelson clearly has a shit load of quality. Not seen the like here for years.

+1

These 3 look like proper Championship players.

We had forgotten what that looked like.

Yep, amen to that. I'm sure we can make up shit by the end of the season though.

windermereROYAL A loan player picking up an early injury? who would have thought it? file under Elphick and Eza. slight muscle pull will probably keep him out for another 6 weeks.

This has aged well :)

Can we be sure that it was Nelson Oliveira out there on Wednesday?

He was wearing a mask.

But any amount agreed with Norwich may only be possible to afford if Reading stay up.

Deal agreed with Norwich, and it sounds like terms with the player won’t be a problem. That deal I would imagine will be the bulk of our transfer budget in terms of perm deals.

Woop woop.

Single most important signing we could make IMO. You can get by with a decent side and the odd adequate player, but if you don't have a strong focal point and someone who can get you goals, you'll struggle.

Big athletic strikers who can score regularly are HARD to come by.

We would not be in this position if we'd bought him two years ago instead of that waste of space Aluko.

Luv the first part, but not the second. Can't we have the other 4 loanees too?

Martinez and Miazga are probably out of our reach.

Baker and Ejaria unlikely to be in the same League cost wise. All of them probably easier to find affordable alternatives for than Nelson.

Hmmm, so Nelson took all our money.
If you could have him, or the other 4 combined, which would you choose?

The latter, but I doubt that`s an option.

Him - goal scorers are hard to find and I reckon if he stays fit could get 15+ goals in a season. Looking at his career though he really needs to settle in one place. A lot of loan moves.

is this actually new news? Haven't seen anything on it. I know Gomes alluded to an agreement in his presser last week

Yep, maybe he's now found a permanent home. Didn't know he'd played CL footy (or maybe I forgot).

Do you reckon Meite could score 15+ as a full time starter?

If we could regularly get 10 goals + from him on the wing that would be good value.

+1 I know he has played as a striker for a lot of games this season, but I am happy with a return of 9 goals in a struggling team so far this season.

There are 630 minutes left to play this season and at the moment YM averages a goal every 273 minutes, would see him score 2-3 goals in the remaining games, so could end up on 12, which would be a fair return.
