CountryRoyal Such a shame. He's a big part of why we've had such a solid defence the couple of years.

Really? I'm sure he was a winger in his playing days...

A full back.
Maybe he felt that all his efforts to make Gunter a better defender have failed so it is time to move on.

Started as a winger I believe and then ended up at right back.

Are you talking about Peter Whittingham?

As I remember Steven Reid started out at Millwall as a winger. He was converted to a central midfielder during his stint at Blackburn and his latter career saw WBA play him at right back where he established himself as their first choice in that role.

Reckon we may see him pitch up as a manager in the lower divisions in the next month or two.

Only one Trevor Morley I expect slightly more than meets the eye given timing. Most people don't leave with immediate effect in any role unless something else lined up. Clearly if he pops up today/ this weekend somewhere else then he went on his own accord but if it doesn't then that suggests something else happened. My concern is that when Stam and his Dutch team suddenly up sticks and leave we have less to fall back on.

You mean when the Brexit mob have them all kicked out?!
