biff Watching the highlights and it's becoming obvious how good a player Clement is in this system. Constant movement to create space, clever and talented footballer, only going to get better with more first team fitness.

Second that. Off the ball l he was good. Good passing and considering he played out of position, for me MOM

Yep, and you keep believing that 2 middle aged Chinese business people who made their money in shopping centres are advising Jaap Stam on how to play football

I'm not sure you're quoting me correctly, but yes it definitely goes on like it or not. They own three clubs so they presumably have an interest in soccer and of course what they want will be implemented by the technical director or equivalent. Stam does not run the club he is merely in post to execute their strategy ...

Ok. But I'm saying they have absolutely zero input into any tactics at that level. Stam is in no need to bow down and change what he does because the owners are there. He has just signed a 2 year contract and could get another job easily. On the pitch what he says goes.

Anyway dull argument. Not going to say any more on it

Stam does what his employers want, much like the rest of us ...

Just because there's only one way for you to cook the fries, doesn't mean in other areas of employment people don't have any say in how they achieve the results their employer wants.

Goes without saying, but if the owners can't fill the stadium and they want a certain brand of football what you suppose they do ? ..

Want success not a certain brand of football.

Owners who sack people for not having the right brand of football are either 1) receiving the success they want and getting spoilt, 2) not getting any success and use it as another excuse.

We're getting too much success for 2, not enough for 1. There is no conspiracy here.
