Overall poor but better in the second half. I lost count of all the bad passes and Brentford just harried and pressed us all game; they looked a threat every time they went forward.

From the BBC EFL Reporting page.

FULL-TIME
Brentford 1-1 Reading
Brentford remain winless but that could be a decent point against a good Reading side.

I'll take the point. If I remember correctly I think early last season the team's performances weren't inspiring confidence either. Another striker is really needed though...

Poor performance but we'll take that point - would've crumbled last season

Stam really needs to figure out how to counter a high-press - it's over a year now and we still look panicky whenever a quick team does this to us. Maybe it's an inherent flaw in the system or Championship standard players just aren't good enough to deal with it

Definitely happy with the point, esp after the poor first half. Would prob have got hammered last season in a game like that

Sounds like Brentford have played like that every game this season, and actually based on recent form of theirs, they'd have expected to win

The lack of goals is certainly a concern. Not convinced just signing a 'striker' would fix things - seems we don't really create as much as we should either

That was pretty bloody awful..lucky to escape with a point..

The 3 in midfield clearly weren't working, Kelly was either to high or too wide to be effective. Edwards looks pedestrian. Only Joey came out of the first half with any credit.

Really don't know what Bodvarrson is supposed to offer. Doesn't look capeable of holding the ball up, and looks lead footed.

Much better once Beerens came on, but we were still giving the ball away too cheaply.

Pens was nailed on, don't know what he was thinking, but was surprised to see it given as the ref wasn't great

That's a massive understatement. The only thing that was more shyte than the ref was our first half performance.

David Edwards' stealing a living. Paul McShane was Brentford's best player.

Yes, was being somewhat generous to the man in the middle. He was bloody terrible. At least 2 Brentford fouls/pull backs worse than the GMac one with no yellow.

Missed a couple of niggely ones as well.
