None of our players are moving in the box. No one is oxf*rd attacking anything. Not pissing once has anyone attacked the far post. Wedhave scored three if someone tried that.

Wow. Nice one ref you fcuking mug.

Nice one reading as well. Swansea absolute dogshite and you've just pissed it about with absolutely no inclination that you are ever going to score. Blunt and toothless and not good enough.

Not really happening for us at the moment is it?

Stam has some thinking to do

Does the ref get an assist for that? Reminds me of the ref that "scored" for Norwich a few years back.

CountryRoyal Commentator: "No one in the box for Reading there"

Oh, you mean like a striker?

Arrgghh, please not another match thread of this :(

"This" is going to dominate most match threads until "this" is not a problem.

Again there were opportunities tonight where a decent striker would have been able to be in the right position but no... there's no direction or focus in our play. It's just play play play then get confused put in a useless cross and concede possession.

In a word pathetic.

Yes, which club he jumps ship to - useless oxf*rd tw@t. Jeez I would even accept Parjudas back compared to this useless git. At least Judas would play a couple of strikers - although of course he'd need a transfer window to bring them in, seeing Stam can't be arsed to get any.

I've not watched us for a few games tbf but looking forward to going sat to see for myself.

Seems to me there is something more 'wrong' than just lack of striker. I'm not really convinced that had we signed Hugill we'd actually be any better off pointswise

It's not like we are creating a ton of chances that are going begging from the sound of it

The worst I've seen us play since the last time I had a season ticket.

One paced, dull-witted, aimless, negative, sponge-footed, can't-be-arsed tripe. Not one single effort that looked convincingly like anyone actually wanted to score a goal.

On that display (which is only one cup game and doesn't mean anything) Swift and Evans would be lucky to ever play for us again. Gunter is an abomination in this style of football. I didn't even know oxf*rd Popa was on the pitch until he was substituted off.

Kelly, Clement and Bacuna actually try to pass and move a bit. Blackett frequently finds space and gets ignored. Beerens actually had a little bit of invention, and his cross field passes are actually flat enough to do a bit of good occasionally.

Please, put some oxf*rd zip in your passes. Move with purpose. More than one of you can show for the ball at once. Think two passes ahead, not just 'oh good, I don't have to worry about losing the ball now I've passed it'. Have an idea what you want to do with the ball before receiving it. Don't stand still waiting for something to happen until you're completely closed down. Don't run forward slowly with the ball waiting for something to happen until there's no space to pass forward. When you're spreading play, skip a player out and fizz the ball so the entire opposition hasn't had half an hour to comfortably adjust.

In short, go out, have a oxf*rd go and play positive football like you actually enjoy your job you over-privileged cockwombles.

Watched online - absolute garbage. Didn't fashion a single change of note. No penetration whatsoever - because we have no striker. Yann is 38 or whatever how can we possibly pin all our hopes on him

I'm feeling very

about this result tbh.

I will admit to feeling a bit apathetic about proceedings so far this season. It's probably something to do with the lack of goals and general excitement. I still don't want to pass overall judgement on Stam and the new signings this early, but there's going to need to be improvement on last year soon otherwise the usually relentlessly positive Genome's patience is going to be tested.

It's the same problem we've always had playing this overly complicated passing game. Movement.

For it to work the midfield needs to drop, move and pick up the ball from the defence and then pass the ball on. All the while maintaining fluid movement finding space as a unit and giving options.

Passing the ball around the defence with no outlet is not total football it's encouraging us to lose possession.

What a pleasant, loyal, measured post.

No respect shown by the team to the hard-core fans like me who went and sung and chanted. Sack stam and the board can do one. This is like watching McDermott again and mass sarr would look good in this team.

The last EFL cup game I go too ever, just like the first 2 rounds dreadfully dull with no atmosphere, awful just awful.
Start the game without striker, created the lump sum of f*ck all.
