Hound Definitely think, and maybe this is with the horrors of the Norwich second half a fading memory, that it would be silly not to give Stam some more time to sort things out

I’m really hoping he has used the break wisely and been honest about how bad we’ve been and what needs to improve

Quite simply, if he doesn't start with Bodvarsson at Leeds he should be removed from service.

yeah he really has to. JDB just coming back of a MOM performance vs Turkey and qualification for the World Cup. Not only does he gives us something we are clearly missing, he must be absolutely on top of the world at the moment confidence wise.

I'm sure Stam will fix that. :|

So would a couple of starts in losing games without scoring. But yes, he has to start.

Yeah but at least needs a chance. Not going to get that sat on the bench for 80 mins

Entirely pointless comment there Ian, with that logic you'd never get out of bed for fear of failure, Coming back on a high from International break (and he will be on a high) is the time to show some faith in him and say you're playing now up front for the next 3 games (for example) - not on a game by game basis - ie if you don't score I'll drop you.

Give him a run of games to build his partnerships with the rest of the team.

ie. Proper man management.

That's why I agreed with the comment he should start.

Gus Poyet was on TalkSport this morning. Talking about moving back to London. Also gave us a namecheck when discussing the Championship. Reading between the lines, he'll be our manager by the time we play Wolves.

I hope this is "fake news". Why not give Graham Murty and/or Brynjar Gunnarsson a go maybe as manager and assistant, Murts has had manager experience in Scotland, Bryn in Iceland. There is no guarantee that whoever replaces Jaap, (whenever that is), with managerial experience in the Championship will be a success, but at least these two have have played in this division.

Poyet managed in the division fairly successfully

Not that I think this is any more than BS

HeinzGuderian Pardew

Poyet would ruin us - even more.

+ 1
I actually think Pards would be a catch for us.

Whos out there that is better?
Clement?
Karanka?
Parkinson?
Lambert?

Theres not much out there that we could realistically get when you think about it. So, best not to jump the gun firing Stam, and then end up with another s*** manager..
