Win our game in hand next week and could be lower mid table.

leon
windermereROYAL Next two away games against opponents with a combined home record of W2 D5 L10 should tell us if we are serious relegation candidates or not, anything less than 4 points would suggest maybe we are.

With the squad we have we should vying for a play off place. Not worrying about relegation.

Yeah, but seeing as we're dealing with reality here, there's no point talking about play offs. And pretending relegation isn't a threat because we should be better isn't going to achieve owt.

I think most of us get the point leon is making.

No apparently I’m saying we shouldn’t worry about relegation because we going to get in the playoffs.

Some people will disagree with the point being made based purely on the poster making it.

Don't know why the shock, there was a thread talking about it before it before this one was started! Is exactly why I've been hoping for the last couple of months that we pulled away from the bottom 3 by Christmas. If we haven't i'm going to be seriously concerned. I didn't think that record would matter this season...

Unless there's a big behind the scenes bust up, ruining the team spirit, I really can't see us being in any danger.

If we get a half-decent striker in in January, I'd be amazed if we don't finish in the top half. Without a striker, we'll be mediocre (unless Kermorgant rediscovers his old form) as our style of play tends to mean whichever team scores first nearly always wins.

Right now I'd say a left back is as important as a striker.

Blackett's doing badly, Obita's out for the season, Richards is v inexperienced and Bacuna is needed in midfield.

I thought Richards has done alright there. Either way Gunter is much better on the left than he is on the right.

Richards has started just 1 game isn't it? And
If you're playing Gunter left, we need a Right back instead, unless Watson is back fit and fully recovered.

We are lucky Burton, Bolton and Birmingham are so bad. We'd be relegation fodder otherwise

Yeah, it Hull weren’t shit, Millwall and Barnsley as well, we’d possibly go down

TBH I can’t see us going down, not that it makes it in anyway a good season. Beating Barnsley would make me feel a lot more comfortable

We're not getting relegated. There are too many teams worse than us. This season is already a write-off, which is even more depressing. No excitement at either end of the table for us this year.

If we can scrape out a scruffy win on Tuesday we`ll be a healthy 9 points clear of the drop zone, night have been better if Barrow had put away that chance my granny could have scored.

Yeah fully accepting the POS won’t happen and prob not relegation either

So just want to be entertained now this season and see some proper foundation for next season, inc finding a top striker

Relegation would only be a risk if we were continually losing and not picking up any points. Currently we are still picking up points from draws, are not really getting outplayed, are certainly not getting hammered, and a couple of wins will pull us well clear of relegation and up the table.

^ this ^

Nothing much to do with anything much.......but

A D Williams blurbed some stats after the game.....last season we scored one goal for every three shots on target....today we had one shot on target :(

One of the phone-in callers also reminded us of some of the dickings that we had last season..Narge, Bentford etc.
Despite our below average season thus-far.....so far, they haven’t happened :) that’s a positive I guess
