Snowball I really don't see us being even CLOSE to relegation.

We have got a fair few of the bottom sides to play in November-December-January

Bolton, Barnsley twice, Sunderland, Birmingham and Burton
with Burton again at the end of January

That is seven winnable games, plus a fair few mid-table opponents
like Ipswich, Brentford

This is the opposition (current position) from now to the end of January with the sequence below it

24th 23rd 22nd 22nd 21st
19th 19th 18th 16th 14th 13th 12th, 11th 9th

That is TWELVE/FOURTEEN eminently winnable games

with only three REALLY tough matches TOP 2nd 7th (Wolves, Cardiff, Derby)

I would expect Stam to be sacked if we lost the next two and I'd be disappointed
if we only got two draws, especially as we then have Derby and Wolves.

But if we can WD or DW our next two, after Derby-Wolves (LL?) we have

24th-16th-19th-23rd, a great chance of twelve points

and let's not forget we have a game in hand

13th
12th
9th
TOP
24th
16th
19th
23rd
2nd
11th
22nd
7th
19th
21st
14th
18th
22nd

The other teams from those "winnable" games will look at us and our league position and will see them as winnable games for themselves.
We may well have enough to avoid relegation but after last season weren't we expecting to do rather better than that and weren't the new signings bought to improve the team rather than make it worse?

HeinzGuderian As I and others have mentioned, the Dutch influence at the club is a bit of a problem.

I couldn't see a manager like Pards, or any other manager worth their salt going along with the way we sign players at the moment.

The club seem to have decided on an ethos and at the moment it's not working. Perhaps the Chinese will want to do things their own way though.

A good manager will want the day on who comes in etc which leaves BT a bit redundant.

It should be that the manager and scouts decide on targets and the DOF makes it happen. I can't see a decent manager going along with BT targets, for the money he's spent the signings have been awful. There was zero structure to how things happened in the summer, no method or thought. They just bought as many players as they could without actually planning or thinking about it. We needed 4 first team starter quality, not the likes of Clement and that CM from Wolves.

Suspect it will be another Dutchman and we'll get.more of there same.

Agreed. Stam and Tevreden must go together. The rest of the Dutch "assistant managers", "coaches" etc will melt away soon enough when a proper manager is appointed. God forbid we get another Dutchman. Van Gaal, Koeman, De Boer, Stam - common threads - boring ponderous non-football with no end product.

I think it was Nice but Dim or Adie Williams saying on BBCRB after the game today that it's all gone tits up since the Chinese arrived, and hence they are actually responsible for the current situation. This is of course absolute nonsense and shows them up for what they are - starry eyed little tits who blow smoke up Stam's arse. Stam has been supported with more cash than any other RFC manager in our history, and look what we've ended up with.

I am truly hoping Gourley (sp?) is taking stock of all the goings on behind the scenes and has been tasked with preparing a masterplan for the future. As, (very successful), business people, the Chinese simply cannot let the current situation continue.

Nailed on certainties, January won't save this team, the players themselves know it.

Last January we signed Popa. Why? As Stam obviously doesn't rate him.

This team should be flying. Well at least mid table until we get a fcuking striker. Stams tactics are killing us. Either he changes or he's changed. Very simple.

I'm quietly confident we'll be ok. After all, I haven't seen the 'What did you enjoy most about the Championship?' thread in here yet. Who started that bloody thread anyway?

I've seen a few games. Why, what's your point? It's a 'Relegation' thread. Are you saying we will get relegated this season with Stam? I'd say no, we won't/wouldn't.

Read my posts, it's all fairly clear. We play totally negative football and as a result we aren't getting enough points and if this form continues then yes I think we are in a very good chance of being relegated.

We're 20th and 2 points clear of the relegation zone. So Stam needs to change something.

Yes, I've read some of your posts. And I agree with some. And I wish some had more content/detail.

I'm aware of where we are currently (in Oct) and that things need to change/improve going forward over the course of the season.

Yeah, so in other words. You haven't seen how bad we are but if you have you don't understand what a shit situation we're in.

If I was you, I'd get a better television.

'In other words'? Oh dear.

You most likely don't know what my understanding is or isn't. For my part, I'm not sure I know yours.

And I'm guessing you don't know a lot about my TV's. I certainly know nothing of yours. But at last count, I have six of them. And they are big. But hey, I'm always looking to upgrade, you know? Any recommendations?

Yeah I have.

Go and watch RFC at the Madejski. Once.

And then you'll want him sacked immediately.

As I said, I have, and I didn't.

As have others. See the 'In or Out' thread/poll, if you haven't. (In which you will observe that right now the majority want him to stay. Then again, maybe they haven't all checked in with you to verify how many games they have watched, where, and in what format  ).

But yes, I can see where you and others are coming from though.

Anyway, I'm out.
