I watched some of the Ipswich vs Wednesday game on.........erm..........Wednesday and both were atrocious (Waghorn aside...........class act) . I just cannot understand how we are failing so badly.

I find it very difficult to be optimistic and find myself with this terrible dilemma of almost wanting us to lose so our pig stubborn manager can move on.

HT 0-0
FT 1-2
Barrow consolation goal

It's not been easy predicting results this season and this game is no exception.

There's so many parallels between the two sides and their managers after 17/18 games. Last season both reached the playoffs and now both performing way below expectations although Wednesday have picked up more points than us their fans are not happy with Carlos, his tactics and defensive approach resulting in too many draws. Both managers have decent squads and both have been financially backed by their owners although I'd love Reading to have the quality strike force Wednesday have to choose from. Both teams have had and still have key players out injured and after poor starts both Managers divide the option of their own fans. There's a real chance of both managers being sacked before January if results go against them between now and the new year.

This could easily end up a hard fought 0-0 with Wednesday sitting 9 behind the ball to help out their defense who's confidence is now looking shot. But instead I'll plum for a 3-1 win out of nothing more than my blind hope for Reading to get their act together against an equally inconsistent, under performing side playing for a manager under equal pressure to preserve his own reputation. The parallels between us and them is uncanny this season but I think they just edge it in terms of an unhappy camp with a shot defense

HT Reading 1 - Wednesday 0
FT Reading 3 - Wednesday 1
