Our record of last 6 games: 3 W 2 D 1 L suddenly doesn't look that shabby.

Would be 14 points from 7 games if we win Sat, which is promotion form

But not going to go there. We still have quite a bit of improving to do tbh. Still a good night all round

Ref was fine btw

AthleticoSpizz agree ‘hawkerz/Hound

Up to 16th

9 points clear of the Mackems occupying the best relegation spot

Only 9 points off Derby in 6th as well...

AthleticoSpizz ...no bookings (either team) is that a first this season?

How was the ref? (Just asking for paultheroyal)

Dunno who but a Barnsley player got a yellow for pulling back our player when he looked clean through.

Can't really complain about the red overall, maybe let a few too many things go unpunished.

There was a yellow for their number 4 (I think) for bringing JDB down (blatant shirt pull).

Ref and East Lino poor - both blind.

I am going to claim all the credit for that win. No, hear me out. Ordered a spanking new 4k monitor, arrived today! Woo hoo! Err, except not. Spent the entire afternoon and evening trying to make it work to its full resolution of 3840x2160 ... and after shed loads of Effing and blinding, suddenly dawned on me my ancient Radeon HD 6870 graphics card (vintage 2010) might be the problem.

Loo and behold, found out it's max resolution was 2560x1440 (my dying Dell U2711). So numpty here has a spanking 4k monitor, and no graphics card! What a tit!

Can anyone recommend a graphics card that will power a 4k monitor?

So whilst I was getting more drunk and throwing things at the monitor, I totally missed all the action tonight. Clearly I need to be absent from t'internet to allow RFC to perform to something like their potential.

But seriously, if anyone can offer advice about my pathetic lack of computer peripheral knowledge, it would be gratefully received!

Fabulous. Let's hope we can field another unchanged side and grab another 3 points at the weekend.

11 points out of 18. 2 clean sheets in a row. Averaging 2 goals a game, and just over 1 a game conceeded.

We're heading in the right direction after a shit start, and Stam is starting to reward patience with him.

Actually I'd like to see Bod start ahead of Yann. But would be fine with same team again.

Pretty much everybody a mixture of good and sloppy, they all seem a little off the boil. Just Saturday to get through, and then a little bit of a break.

I wasn’t convinced until I realised how good our form has been recently on paper. 11 points from 18 is a big improvement! I think it’s excellent we’re scoring more goals now, and winning more convincingly, we lacked that last season. A striker is an absolute must if we want to maintain this form, hopefully we get that high profile striker Stam wants and don’t settle for a shitty loan

Off topic really but is there a risk that Strap might be spending good money on trying to polish a turd?

I have just replaced a faulty Radeon HD 6870 with exactly the same because my Dell PC that it was in is now >5 years old and not likely to take too kindly to a better graphics card (Dell only warranty that it will work with a limited number of older cards), I suspect Strap's PC might be of a similar vintage?

There was a yellow for their number 4 (I think) for bringing JDB down (blatant shirt pull).

Ref and East Lino poor - both blind.

There were definitely at least 3 yellow card worthy incidents. It's nice to see a ref let play flow but that was a bit too lenient.

too lenient in my book
But any other ref would have booked JVDB at least once

Sutekh Missed QPR playing last night

Sorry, Sutekh, I wasn't trying to be a smart-arse or score cheap points. Your introductions to the games/opponents are always informative and a good read! :D
