AthleticoSpizz Barnsley have made a triple substitution?

Triple half time sub, the stuff of dreams. I'm sure the manager would have switched the whole team if he could. In fairness they have been better in this half, marginally.

genome Been listening on the radio as I can’t make it tonight (sounds like I’m not the only one)

WTF was Dellor on about at half time?

What was he saying? Context?

Just adamant that Reading should go and smash Barnsley 6-0 and that a 2-0 win would be a negative thing when the other side is there for the taking.
but they really are

Semi agree with him. Of course we shouldn't be smashing anyone 6-0, and certainly no way is any form of win a negative, but Barnsley are there for the taking. A chance for confidence boosting big-ish win and an opportunity to reduce our goal deficit if ever I've seen. Barnsley are really, really, really bad.

I'll still happily take the 2-0 though.

Popa on for Aluko.

So we have a Dadi and a Popa on the pitch together.

They are playing better but we're allowing them. Not being clinical enough with the final ball and making sloppy errors defensively. I'd like us to sharpen up a bit but I'd doubt Barnsley would do anything if we gave them the ball and sat on the floor for the rest of the game.

How did they not score there. A little bit jammy with having the space for the initial shot.

Bod has already matched his Wolves goal tally of last season and is now 3 in 7.

Prolific. 8)

180 + minutes without Blackett on the pitch
180 + minutes without conceding a goal.

Just sayin.

Let's also hope Popa replaces Beerens. Great shot that lead to Bodvarsson's goal.

Bodvarsson has deceptive speed. I really like watching him play. Great effort on a few chase downs of bad passes that led to throws for us in their half.

Bit of a weird game that. Barnsley played pretty terribly, though I suppose we should credit us for making them look so shit

Really could have won by 4 or 5 without playing that well. Second half we were pretty sloppy tbh. Looked a bit flat, but still could have easily scored on a number of occasions

Jon Dadi motm for me, which I accept is a bit left field. Thought he was excellent and showed what we’ve missed when he has been injured. Strong, quickish, good at holding it up and very hardworking. Liked what I saw

Everyone played ok, though again thought Kelly a bit disappointing unfortunately. Hopefully Swift back soon

Agree with Stam’s comments actually as well. Thought we looked a bit tired.

Long horrible trip to Freezing cold Sunderland on sat. Need to get ourselves right back up for that and a great chance to create a big gap with the bottom 3
