M-U-R-T-Y

by grey_squirrel » 22 Dec 2017 18:08

Can't see there is an existing recent/relevant post to this - Mods feel free to move/integrate - but I'm sure we'll all wish Murts the best and congrats on being announced as at least "interim" manager of Rangers until the end of the usual 'dead rubber' of a season up there. Significant achievement for him and hopefully a sign of his continued management advancement/potential.

I'd have liked for him to turn around and tell them to stuff it. I mean, it's not exactly a vote of confidence is it. Yeah, we've only got you because nobody else wanted to do it, and we'll only trust you till the end of the season. But maybe for me coloured by the fact that I hate Sevco.

Still, it's good experience for him, will stand him in good stead when he gets the Reading gig :-)

Obviously he’s doing something right in his current career path. Grats Murtz

Because it’s Rangers, he will achieve a top three position which may or may not get him the gig for the next season too (third being a “failure” so probably not).

A Rangers pre-season friendly would be nice.

Rangers friendly would be mentalz. I've seen videos of their fans - and celtics too.

Ah, in total agreement with ScrotRot.... absolutely vile, petty, small minded, racist bigots.

I remember when we played Newcastle in our first Madejski pre-season and there was a bunch of Rangers twats sat outside the Five Horseshoes or whatever it was called on Basingstoke Road who'd apparently come down just to sing sectarian songs about Tommy Burns. I’m sure it was just banter of course.

Well done Murts, although mainly I’m glad they didn’t steal McInnes from Aberdeen

A large Rangers flag was unveiled during the game in the away end too #obsessed.

which was probably less offensive than some of those “# sectarian” ones that their local rivals have unfurled in recent times
