MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by a christmas sized helping of apathy

by Sutekh » 25 Dec 2017 11:21

Well after whatever the hell that was we got served up with on Saturday it can't really get any worse. Most expect a 3 or 4 goal stuffing and so it will be if that pile of festering fetid stink puts in another appearance.

Not going to say much as, like the players on Saturday, I seemingly can't be bothered.

Referee

Apparently there is one

Historically

Bristol City win most of them in Bristol

Do people think the players couldn’t be bothered? I’d highly question that assumption - they tried but played terribly

It happens. We were awful. Certain things need to change. For the 6 weeks or so before Ipswich we were pretty good.

It’s a big accusation to say they couldn’t be bothered

Anyway suspect the confidence will have taken quite a big hit from that shit-show and can’t see us getting anything. Couple of weeks ago I’d have fancied us in this but I reckon they’ll score early and hold out comfortably

To make this season more confusing we'll go and win this bloody match, already got good wins away to Leeds and Derby, it's not the most absurd outcome in the world.

Winning this would be a very Reading thing to do after Saturday...

Mannone, Gunter, McShane, Moore, Berg, Evans, Bodvarsson, Bacuna, Edwards, Aluko, Barrow

Subs - Jaakkola, McCleary, Beerens, Kermorgant, Blackett, Ilori, Clement

So a not match fit Evans gets in ahead of Kelly who has disappeared completely (bet he’s injured then)

And Swift is presumably injured again.

Finally the unbalancing of the side, by not playing Richards, continues

Bit odd Evans coming straight back in. Kelly no loss on current form

Can’t see a huge amount of creativity there but right choice to start Bod imo

Finally Bod starting.

Whats going on with McCleary? Aluko's been awful and he still can't get into the side. Can't believe Swift is injured again :(

I feel guilty that for some reason I actually want us to lose.

So far the "bore them into the submission and maybe grab a late winner" tactic has worked.

After the last two pathetic attempts at football it does sound like an improvement though they’re still at home to dreadful passing mistakes - and the ref bottled a sending off.

I have resorted to watching leeds game on sky on my phone. Apparently Bristol have scored. Thinking about running onto the pitch to take a dump. 1 more to add to the 11 on the pitch
