yuomi He's lost the dressing room. They're not playing for him. They're not even playing.

He needs to be out on his ear tomorrow morning. This is beyond embarrassing.

you cant say that until Genome has it confirmed by the EFL

Snowflake Royal Oh dear.

Starting to feel like Stam's time is numbered. Slipping too close to the bottom three, no win in six, losing to the bottom side, 4 defeats from 5. He has absolutely got to try something different. And I don't mean just pissing around with the odd player out of position. When you're conceding soft goals and not scoring, the answer isn't chucking in another powderpuff creative player. Because the problem isn't the creative talent on the pitch it's the complete lack of movement, woeful use of space and passive 'something good will happen eventually' attitude.

Switch up the defensive shape. Put some hard runners in midfield. Play two actual full backs more than one game in a row.

Tim Dellor would agree 100% with that - he's been harping on that for the last 15min.

oxf*rd 15 minutes, I've been harping on about it for 15 months.

WoodleyRoyal Sometimes you need to take one step back too take two forward. Stan isn't going anywhere and rightly so p. Come the end of the season we will midtable and all you moaning wet farts will be ashamed of your lynching

How about two back and one forward followed by another two back ?

We must be about 18 back from last season at this point.

Disagree, we were just as bad last season we just had the rub of the green in a lot of games, plus al habsi heroics

Ark Royal This has the same gut-feel as the awful 1-2 defeat to Scunthorpe close to the end of Bodgers' reign. I would never overtly call for a Reading boss to be fired, but surely Stam's position is now untenable.

This reminds me of 2007-08. Comfortably mid table coming up to Christmas then our form collapsed and kept losing a series of must win home games against shutter teams.

Must be looking like a certain home banker at Stevenage saturday. Can currently get 15/4 on Stevenage. Surely worth a flutter?

Think that's probably it for Stam. I don't think it's a good decision but the season has been dire and the last few games have been incredibly poor. He must be gone after this.

Exactly this. Last season we flattered to deceive, eked out a lot of laughably undeserved results and generally rode our luck all the way to an embarrassingly lacklustre and gutless performance by a team in a playoff final. This season has been the same inane, uninspiring sideways-sideways-sideways-backwards nonsense, just against teams who now know to press high and crowd us into silly errors. Stam doesn't have a playbook so much as a play-pamphlet.

If stam has any sense (if he is still here) he will play to lose. A draw would be the worst thing.

Surely a loss against hull after is game over for him. He will probably have his stuff packed and be out of here as soon as its 9pm.

Stam's exit to the tunnel was literally the polar opposite of our style of play.

Never seen anyone move so quickly.
