Two observations looking at the goals on Sky:

a) Gunter going to celebrate his goal with Jaap - so he's definitely not lost Gunter in the dressing room ...

b) Us dicking around at the back - almost losing it, but getting away with - just before scoring the third ... I guess it paid off, but it looked scary even in a replay.

Did we not play 4-4-2 against Brentford?

Superbly placed left foot finish from Gunter. :shock:

And "Who's the Dadi" proving why he should have played every game he was fit. He might miss some sitters and he might not have an impressive record or look much of the part, but he's been tucking them away reliably for us. 8 goals in 10 (13). I'm not saying he'd score 18+, but in a decent side playing most weeks he could easily be a solid 15 guy.

Any word on whether it was the same 3-5-2 shape as reportedly at Brentford, or a 4-4-2? Was Bacuna full back or midfield?

Please, please please can we keep a mostly settled side for the next few games and build a bit of confidence with a couple more results.

Lowest attendance in the Championship since the Wimbledon boycotts at Selhurst Park in 2003.

strap 4-4-2 in League under Stam is played 2, (both away), and won two. Do you think he will get the message?? No, of course not.

Well, as you may recall, up til around Dec either Yann, or Bod, or both, were injured quite a lot of the time and so the opportunities for Stam to pair them both up front were limited. Had they both been fit at start of season, and remained fit, maybe things would have turned out quite differently.

Anyway, they both played well together tonight, I thought, and so I'd look for that pairing to become more frequent in the coming months.

Nope, 4-2-3-1, with Aluko, Kelly and Barrow behind Bodvarsson.

Hey, guess who's being a belmont on Twitter again.

@LordCKS 3h
Shame. #ReadingFC (after we went 1-0 up)

@LordCKS 3h
I dislike this team so much, that I felt absolutely nothing when they scored.

@LordCKS 2h
Shame #ReadingFC (after we went 2-1 up)

@LordCKS 2h
Before any of the kids and flids get overly excited should Reading win. Burton are rock bottom of the league. Hardly worth getting excited about.

Then tweets the picture of Stam and Gunter and says

@LordCKS 1h
My two least likeable employees of Reading, embrace.

I think it's time I blocked the twat.

I agree with others, the penalty looked soft. Aside from that, we held them without a clear shot on target, I think.

Big shout for Joey and Edwards tonite in central mid. They really put in a shift, and they didn't have much cover because Barrow and Aluko were playing outside of them (plus we were playing with two strikers up front, too). But they controlled the middle of the park well, I thought.

I'm tempted to celebrate Reading goals in overly obnoxious tweets and just @LordCKS in the same tweet to piss him off.

Attendance 2704 is really pretty embarrassing for a championship game!! and maybe 350-400 of those were the brave hardy Reading fans who made the trip. Burton don't deserve to be a championship team with that kind of support lol....
