Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship match against Reading FC (kick-off 5.30pm) is still set to go-ahead despite challenging weather conditions up and down the country leading to the postponement of a number of EFL fixtures.
Wolves’ operations team, club staff and volunteers have been working extremely hard through the day to ensure that Molineux and the surrounding area is safe for all supporters travelling to the game.

Unless the weather conditions worsen during the afternoon and evening, Club officials will continue to work through the night and the early parts of the morning in a bid to ensure the fixture can be played.

The Met Office is currently predicting further snowfall around Wolverhampton and the surrounding area later today, however forecasts have been changeable.

The club’s safety team, in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders including the police and match officials, will reassess the situation throughout today, with the current expectation that a final decision will be made on Saturday morning before issuing further information.

Who said he doesn’t?

TBH Wolves won’t get anywhere near 106 I doubt. The only thing Stam needs to worry about is keeping us up at the Moment

Royality creeps In The players and Stam probably don't give a flying one about the record. Means absolutely zilch to them.

If Stam does want the fans more on his side, he would quickly realise how much the 106 record means to the majority of fans, even if he couldn't give a flying fcuk about it.

Exactly my thoughts too.

Maybe he does realize it. What do you want him to do, make a public statement accordingly? Not sure how well that would be received. 'Oh he's fake, he's just trying to buy the fans over'. Keep in mind, he'd be ridiculed for it anyway. Because as we've seen recently, some of 'the fans' (mentioning no names) don't 'give a flying fcuk' about the record anyway, and have ridiculed other fans for doing so.

Hope they call it off - quite risky to drive all that way. Shame I've wasted £50 though.

Really hope it gets called off just as you pass the "Welcome To Wolverhampton" sign.

The Real Sandhurst Royal Game off.

Game postponed due to a frozen pitch apparently. That’ll make for a nice midweek trip in a couple of weeks maybe.

At least the weekend won’t be so depressing now.

With Liverpool kicking off at the same time, any ideas as to which boozer will be showing this later?

Don't want to watch at home that's all.

Sadly we all know you weren't actually going to the game because you're a liar but on the off chance you were then I hope you don't see it has been called off until you get there.

Assume all the shopping centres around the country are closed too if it's that dangerous to venture out.

The pitch is fine by all accounts.

Funny how all PL fixtures survive yet virtually every other league is wiped out. Or perhaps the PL will show their contempt for all fans by only calling the games off at the last minute.

Exactly. Apparently the roads and pathways are fine in the premier league.

Game off because of heavy overnight snow , as is the Villa game

Few days of relief before Bolton Tuesday

The snow might just have saved Stams job. A hammering and surely he'd have gone. As it stands, he now has two home games. 3 points minimum needed.

BBC state Villa postponed due to 'Weather', whereas specifically state that Wolves game is postponed due to 'Frozen Pitch'. 'Frozen Pitch'? I thought they were supposed to be a big club?

No excuses to not be ready for the Bolton game then, full week of rest.
