The next 6 games-watch

by double d » 07 Mar 2018 09:19

So the next 6 games for us and our rivals are obviously key. Every point at this stage matters and we need to take it by the scruff of the neck. I think this season we are extremely lucky for 1) Barrow actually trying to win games and score and 2) Somehow no matter how much we seem to want to go down, the teams around us are utterly shambolic. Seems that Sunderland and Brum are going down, and one other.

The next 6 games look like this. My predictions are also next to each game with points that we and our rivals gain with points tallied at the end. What do you think will happen and who will survive! This is so tense!

Saturday 10th March
Burton Albion - Bristol City (D) 1
Cardiff City - Birmingham City (H) 0
Hull City - Norwich City (D) 1
Boro - Barnsley (H) 0
QPR - Sunderland (H) 0
Reading - Leeds United (D) 1
Sheffield Wednesday- Bolton Wanderers (D) 1 & 1

Tuesday 13th March
Barnsley - Norwich City (D) 1
Ipswich Town - Hull City (H) 0
Sheffield United - Burton Albion (H) 0
Wolverhampton Wanderers - Reading (H) 0

Saturday 17th March
Barnsley - Millwall (A) 0
Birmingham City - Hull City (A) 0 & 3
Leeds United - Sheffield Wednesday (H) 0
Norwich City - Reading (H) 0
Sunderland - Preston North End (A) 0
Wolverhampton Wanderers - Burton Albion (H) 0
Bolton Wanderers - Aston Villa (A) 0

Friday 30th March
Barnsley - Bristol City (D) 1
Cardiff City - Burton Albion (H) 0
Leeds United - Bolton Wanderers (D) 1
Sheffield Wednesday - Preston North End (D) 1
Reading - Queens Park Rangers (H) 3
Derby County - Sunderland (H) 0
(Sunday)
Brum - Ipswich (D) 1
Hull - Villa (D) 1

Monday/Tuesday 2nd/3rd April
Burton Albion - Middlesbrough (A) 0
Nottingham Forest - Barnsley (D) 1
Sunderland - Sheffield Wednesday (D) 1 & 1
Aston Villa - Reading (H) 0
Wolverhampton Wanderers - Hull City (H) 0
Bolton Wanderers - Birmingham City (D) 1 & 1

Saturday 7th April
Barnsley - Sheffield United (H) 3
Birmingham City - Burton Albion (D) 1 & 1
Derby County - Bolton Wanderers (H) 0
Hull City - Queens Park Rangers (H) 3
Leeds United - Sunderland (H) 0
Reading - Preston North End (D) 1
Sheff Weds- Fulham (A) 0

So what are my scientific findings from this!

Points gained in these total 6 games as per my predictions (Apologies if I missed any out)

Sheffield Weds -3
Reading - 5
Bolton - 3
Hull - 8
Barnsley - 5
Birmingham - 3
Burton - 2
SunderLOLand - 1

So lets now do some hard Excel formulas and maths and add this on to what the currents point totals are and it leaves the tables like this:

17: Hull 41 Points (played 41)
18: Sheff Weds 40 points (played 42)
19: Reading 40 points (played 41)
20: Bolton 38 Points (played 42)
21: Barnsley 37 Points (played 41)
22: Brum 33 points (played 42)
23: Burton 31 Points (played 41)
24: SunderLOLand (royally pfucked) 29 points (played 42)

This should mean IN THEORY we are safe. 7 points away from safety with 5 games (15 points) left and the remaining games for us are , Fulham (a), Sunderland (H), Sheff Weds (A), Ipswich (H) and Cardiff (a).

A win against Sunderland and a Draw against Ipwich and Sheff Weds should be 5 points and enough to see us over the line
