apparently they've played quite well in the two games under Monk. Still no points from either.

I look at Barnsleys fixtures and think they could definitely get 13-14 points from that lot. We need Norwich to get something there tonight.

Would mean if Bolton were to get 9 points from their remaining games and Birmingham got 15 from their remaining 9 then we will need 10 more points to guarantee safety. Hopefully we won't get thrashed tonight so our GD is good.

Barnsley v Norwich
Barnsley v Millwall
Barnsley v Bristol City
Nottingham Forest v Barnsley
Barnsley v Sheffield United
Ipswich Town v Barnsley
Barnsley v Bolton Wanderers
Leeds United v Barnsley
Barnsley v Brentford
Derby County v Barnsley

Looks a reasonably tough run in to me for Barnsley. Be surprised if they got more than 10pts from that lot

39 points to stay up, think we'll fail to reach that*!

Because of the utter shitness of the other teams around us we'll probably stay up. But if Stam stays in charge we'll go down next season anyway. It's just utterly shambolic.

We prob only need a few draws and a win, but can genuinely see us not winning another game.

If we did manage to stay up after winning 1 in 26, that'd be some achievement

I did the end of season predictor and I got 43 points to be the total to get.

I had us to finish 19th on 46 points, GD separating us with Barnsley.

Bolton, Sunderland and Burton will go.

Stranded
linkenholtroyal I still think brum and a Sunderland will go on a run, Sunderland will leave it to late and just fall short and Gary monk is a tricky one give him a couple more games to sort things out and Birmingham may well be a very different team come the end of the season.
Who would have thought a year ago that Birmingham, Gary monk, Sunderland and Chris Coleman would be facing relegation to league 1.
Funny world

I keep seeing this view.

Why? What about their squads makes you think that they will suddenly know how to play winning football. They have both been abject.

Birmingham to be honest they have done it before and I like Gary monk he Is a good manager who will turn results around and it has already started.
Sunderland on second thoughts after watching there highlights at the weekend are doomed.....

Whilst our own 'form' is still arguably more of a shambles, it's worth saying that by my reckoning Barnsley haven't beaten a side outside the relegation zone since 30th September.

The only team in this cluster they have left to play are Bolton who, since taking 2 points from their first 10 games ( ) have been 13th in the form table.

what is almost more interesting is who people think will go down and the points they will be on. i think we will get 7 more points and end on 43.
end table
Bolton 46
Reading 43
Birmingham 43
Barnsley 41
Burton 37
Sunderland 30

a real nail biter till the end

Looking back, posters suggested that Brum and Bolton wouldn't get many points and we could get something at Norwich.
Since then both Bolton and Brum got 3 points and we got nothing from the games at Wolves and Norwich.
This is such a depressing topic in such a depressing season.

So you think Birmingham will be lucky to get 2 points from their last 8 games?

Brum's Last 8

HOME

IPSWICH
BURTON
SHEFF UTD
FULHAM

Decent chance of DWD before Fulham game?

Away
Bolton
Bristol
Wolves
QPR

Decent chance of 1 or 3 points at Bolton.

So it wouldn't be a shock if Brum got 6 or 8 points
form their remaining fixtures
