Despite what I posted on another thread - Pearson or possibly Clement - with Sir Steve and George Dawes until the end of the season, I'd rather fancy having Dylan back as manager.

He's loving it in Kenya and has done really well, and he has fight and passion and character for RFC.

Much as we all love Coppell is he really the quick fix/instant results manager we need until the end of the season?

The lift to the crowd and atmosphere alone might well get the players going, and free them up a bit. He's not a shouty turn things around sort, but he could well be the right man at the right time - and he always liked short contracts

I have no idea who will keep us up but I wouldn't want Pearson or Redknapp anywhere near the club

Not that it would make me attempt to rip up my ST though

Agreed. Also add Pardew, Murty and Parky to that list. I wouldn't want a former fan favourite ruining their playing legacy at the club with an unsuccessful manager stint and Parjudas can oxf*rd right off.

If Lampard was in for the Oxford job he would certainly be interested in this regardless of what division we are in.

If Gourlay was around Chelsea when Lampard was there - stranger things have happened.

I'm pretty sure there's a whole load of people who think Pardew has already ruined his legacy! I wouldn't be against the other two because it might tarnish them with the fans, not 100% convinced they'd work out though.

I feel like Paul Clement might be the man

What, as a player? Not as a manager surely?? Not sure we could take another "name" with no managerial experience of the LCh.

Whilst I accept Pardew and McGhee fitted that description when they were appointed, times have moved on.

A fan's favourite (with a track record, obvs) Murts / Parky for me - but that would presumably need to be next season.
Shorter term availability to end of season and see how it goes from there - i'd be OK with a seasoned pro like Rednapp

Can't see Coppell wanting to. Pards would, but would the fans?

Mark McGhee is suddenly free

double d

We need a manager with a good track record and who has experiance of getting out this division or finishing in good positions, with enough weight behind him to get big name players in and respect

No terry or gerrard or lampard.

No di matteo or any of the like.

We need a murty/parky/coppell/redknapp

Will be Clement.

- Worked with Gourlay
- Been in relegation battle and saved Swansea
- Local boy
- Without a club so no fee to pay

agree that feels a quite likely outcome.

Not convinced of his abilities tbh though. Still anything would be better than the last 6 months
