Reading or England?

by Theroyalbox » 26 Mar 2018 11:27

Last season if you would've asked me would I rather Reading win the play off final or England win the world cup this year, I would've quite comfortably have said play off final.

This year though, I think I would rather Reading get relegated and England win the world cup.

What would you choose?

How about England get relegated and Reading win the world cup?

I always want Reading to do well and don't have the same feelings towards England.

In order of preference, I think:

Reading win Champions League
Reading win Premier League
Reading win FA Cup
Reading win Europa League
Reading win League Cup
England win World Cup
England win Euros
Reading win play off final
Reading win Championship
Reading avoid relegation

Not sure if it just me or not but I couldn't give a rats arse about the Champions League. To me it represents a lot of what is wrong with modern football.

FA Cup is the dream for me. Would love Reading to win it in my life time.

I'd rather win the Championship again than win a play off final.

But beyond that spot on.

I’d rather see England win a World Cup because it’s far less likely than us being promoted again imho.

Its not just you. I really dont care about the Champions league other than some entertaining matches here and there or hoping certain player/managers win it.

I, not being English, don't particularly want England to win a World Cup. Mainly because I don't want to keep hearing about it for the next 50 years of my life.

I left Cork to find internet. Found my way to Paris where the locals don't talk about their World Cup win nearly as much as the English do theirs despite it being 32 years after.

On a serious note though does anyone here actually think England will win it?

I did consider putting CL behind PL, but it would be nice to be better than Barcelona.

That may be so, but I wouldn't turn down a Champions League title for Reading, to be honest.

Well no one with any sense. But that of course is a totally different question from what you've asked
