Reading v Sunderland OFFICIAL Predictions Thread

by Snowball » 11 Apr 2018 23:01

Rules as per the previous few leagues games

Point for correctly predicting first team to score. You cannot use this
as insurance. For example Reading to win 2-0 but QPR to score first,

Bonus point for standard format exactly as the example below:

Reading 1-1 Sunderland HT
Reading 3-1 Sunderland FT

Reading to score first <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Bod 22
Sunderland 45
Barrow 66
Kermie 86

I ask for this because it saves time transcribing

Bonus points awarded for games of 3 or more goals where the goal sequence
is given correctly. You predict that spot on and get beaucoup extra points.

Anyone getting first Reading goal-scorer points, (must have result right for that half)
gets a 5 point bonus if they are within one minute either way

All older rules apply

Points awarded for HT Correct Result (1), HT Correct Score (3) (except for 0-0 which scores 1)

Further explanation. (at HT) You get 0 points for wrong, 1 point for correct result,
3 points for a correct score other than 0-0 which only scores 1 point
At HT or FT if you get the correct score you DON'T get 4 points for correct score (3) and result (1)

Points awarded for FT Correct Result (1), FT Correct Score (3) (including 0-0)

FT - You get 0 points for wrong, 1 point for correct result,
3 points for a correct score including 0-0

3 Points added for first Reading Goal-Scorer if the score or result is also correct

( PLEASE NOTE: If you predict a first-half RFC scorer then your first half score/result decides your FGS bonus) even if things change radically second half

Example: You predict Kelly 25 and 1-0 HT, 2-1 FT. Kelly scores first half and Reading are 1-0 up at HT = you earn 3+3 points. Second half we fall apart and lose 1-4, your HT score/scorer marks are still good.

The rules do not prevent you posting impossible predictions like RFC 1-0 HT, 0-3 FT

OWN GOALS

Last game we had an OG in Reading's favour (ie by a Cardiff player)

Such OG's DO COUNT as First RFC Scorer, as per most sane bookies

Remember -3 points is awarded for the worst prediction

In the event of me failing to post a separate prediction, I'll use this example

Everyone so confident? I watched Sunderland at Leeds and they were very good and a missed penalty from beating Norwich. This will not be a walkover.
Reading (0)0 Sunderland (1) 1

We beat Preston and QPR who are far superior to Sunderland and have been much improved in general under Clement. What reason is there not to be confident? We will be fine on Saturday.

my thoughts are Sunderland are not a good side at all. They must surely be almost devoid of any hope of avoiding relegation and the noise that will come along with that will be huge. Reckon they'll start well, but then start to panic and heads will go right down as soon as they concede or struggle to score against, which they seem to in every single game. Obvs might not turn out like that, but thats the basis of mine

Sunderland are dogshit. They didn't beat Leeds and didn't beat Norwich and missed a penalty vs. Norwich. For these reasons they will be relegated.

Going for a tight 1-1.

Aluko 29, Sunderland 81

Barnsley win (2-0) and Birmingham lose (0-3), so still all to play for, we will be nearer the bottom 3 but with three sides still below us that can realistically stay up, and another game used up.
