Tilehurstsouthbank According to getreading Harriott and McShane are in contention.

Is Harriot this season's Kwesi Appiah...?

The plot thickens...

if still 0-0 at HT (unlikely) bring on JDBV for Llori

Hmm, explain the reasoning behind that one :?

HT Is a bit early but the aim of the game is to win.....

This selection will tell us a lot about Clement.
IMHO:
Mannone
Bacuna Elphick Ilori Moore Gunter
Edwards Evans Aluko
Bod Barrow

The problem with this line up of course; is that Edwards is as slow as a carthorse, and Clement for some reason does not want Evans anywhere near the Team-even though Swift and Kelly have put in some dreadful performances.

God help us-how did it get to this ?

Aluko is a complete wildcard to me, we all know he will start and put in a lazy performance and compromise the rest of the team. But somehow we dont have an alternative. We've gone from having too many in September with - Beerens, Barrow, Popa, GMAC, Harriot and Aluko. February we were left with Aluko and Barrow.
Our season can be summed up by our injury list throughout the year.

I'd rather Clement, Swift or Kelly than Aluko starting

Pick Aluko. Tell him he is central midfield and must NOT go wide.

Sorted.

meaning he will then go wide

Did I read somewhere that Cardiff play a lot of quick long ball
and mainly lump it into the box, esp from dead balls?

If so don't that mean we ssjpuld play 5-4-1, the extra CB?

CBA to read the previous 6 pages obvs so apologies if this has already been suggested but this is probably the one and only time I would start with JVDB. Warnock will try and bully us and as we know, bullies need to be stood up to so I'd put Joey in for his last ever game in a Reading shirt and tell him to get stuck into them. We know that Warnock teams are undisciplined so we should get at least a couple of yellow cards from reactions.

Go 4-1-4-1 and try and lock them out, a 0-0 would be perfect.

My guess is that he'll be on the bench. The starting line up needs to be solid to weather the battering that be on it's way.

Has to be. Aluko is a total luxury player.

And by luxury I mean shit and lazy.

Pound for pound, the worst Reading I’ve ever seen.

Gunter should not even be in the squad for this game.
He was truly shocking against Ipswich. All the goals came from his side and as well as the weak backpass that led to number 3, for two of the others he did not even track back.
Also I don’t want to have him celebrating with Cardiff on the pitch afterwards when we could be relegated at the same time.
He should not be a Reading player next season , let alone the Captain.

Also, Kelly and Swift are far too lightweight in midfield plus Aluko couldn’t beat an egg at the moment so can’t see any point in them being in the squad either.
Admittedly I’m not sure who that leaves in.
I would play Moore Ilori and Elphick in a back five with Kermorgant just in front as cover. Probably Bacuna at RB

Dunno about that.. I remember Mark McGhee got Steve Archibald down to EP for a trial match.
After watching this disinterested bloke amble around the pitch for just about an hour, McGhee "hooked" him.
"Thanks Steve, just close the door on your way out...."

Aluko is at his peak apparently. Just an appalling player.
