Ascotexgunner I'm expecting pretty much the same next year.
I'm not. I think, at worse, we'll be half-way.
We have a lot of very decent players, and once the defensive structure
(particularly defending from the front and DM) is sorted, we will be
hard to beat
Ascotexgunner Clement did his job of keeping us up, but from here he's the wrong man and I'll keep reiterating that point. He may of kept Swansea up but what then? New season, lost 10 in 13.
I really don't think relegation from the Premiership tells us much about managers.
That league is so money-heavy, and lesser teams are always up against it.
Tonight Swansea more or less have to win to stay up, so, again,
they are a club set up to drop this year, next... It's the way of the world
for many many clubs these days... more so when they sell players like Gylfi
Ascotexgunner At Derby they ditched him after 7 months..a good start, but then his team fell to bits when it mattered. The football went bad and the fans and owners got upset. I just don't think he has that winning mentality.
If he does turn this around I look forward to being slaughtered by you all.
I prefer to think of a man with a pedigree, who has saved two clubs from relegation (fact)
and is probably still learning. With a core of players who are definitely better than relegation-
fodder, it needs a good pre-season, a couple of talismanic players (eg a deadly striker and/or
another Al-Habsi), some DRILLING (no jokes, ta) we will do more than OK.
I am NOT expecting us to flirt with relegation next year
