muirinho Update from today's press conference
• Adrian Popa is available
• Leandro Bacuna has a sore ankle but should be fit
• Modou Barrow (ribs) and Yakou Meïté (groin) are still being assessed after picking up injuries on Tuesday
• Chris Gunter is close to fitness but won’t be ready this week
• Also too soon for Aluko
And, unsurprisingly, McCleary, Edwards, Obita, Harriott all still out.

Medically they're more or less in the same place.

Sutekh Harriott not too far off a return. Yay!
McCleary joined in a practice match yesterday and the next step will be to get him some game time in the U21s/23s, or whatever they're called, to build up some match fitness. Guess that means he could get an opportunity on the bench in early October if all goes well.
Obita has had a very serious knee injury and suffered a reaction in preseason. He's currently in the US working with a specialist in strengthening exercises. The hope/expectation is to be back training next month.

Hound Wonder what McCleary we will see back. He just didnt seem 'right' last season. Never seemed properly fit and was running weirdly

Ye, it's been pretty devastating watching his demise. From one of the best players in the division to a complete shadow of his former self. My suspicion is he will have to drop down to go back to Oxford United for a season and then hang 'em up.
Legend in my opinion though

+1. I would be challenged to name 5 better championship wingers than McCleary during his stint with us.
