I’d say £1m is still quite a lot for a 25 year old striker who has only really scored well at league two level.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for us to pay it, but I think £700k would be about the upper end of his value considering his remaining contract length as well.

Don’t understand why people have a problem with the club not liking the supposed £1m benchmark. Too many people don’t understand the concept of value for money. I said Eisa would be good value at £1m but looking back on it you could probably get so much better for free, same with McNulty. £1m is nowadays pocket change but value for money is still crucial in this market, why do the 15 year olds struggle to understand that?

Bottom line is, the same people are obsessed with youth players, either you accept that value for money has always existed in this market and will continue to do so or accept these kind of players block the pathway for youth players. How many of them have actually watched him play on a regular basis?

Not saying it isn’t, but that’s doesn’t change the fact that it would be almost 50% overpaying.

50% overpaying based on what? Footballers don't have a barcode and price attached to their ear .....

It might be your opinion that it is 50% over what he is worth but don't state it as a fact.

It's pretty clearly an opinion. And it's certainly no less valid than saying £1m is pocket change so we should just cough up.

Personally I think we should be pleased that the club doesn't just meet sellers' valuations and bid what they consider is good value to us.

Shame. Was looking forward to having McNulty and Liam "Bunk" Moore in the same team

Not concerned about this one, can't see how a golfer would improve the football side of things.

Saw the golfer Mc Nulty playing in the Monaco Open some years ago-the highlight of that day was meeting Sharon Stone, but that's another story.

Ooh really. Did she cross her legs while sitting opposite you displaying an indiscernible hint of muff?
