Harriott needs to go out on a season loan and rebuild his fitness. If he can overcome his injuries then will seem like a new signing when he comes back.

Berry So we had too many wingers then not enough and who will get on the end of crosses?...Bod or the tall McNulty...Who's running the club FFS

Two things:

1) The crosses don't need to all be in the air, in fact it pays to vary them!
2) You don't necessarily need to be a tall barsteward to be very effective in the air.

I always thing the most effective crosses are the low ones whipped in at speed from the goal line. Creates a great del of panic for onrushing defenders. Trouble is the lack of interest from Reading players to try and go on the outside of defenders in the last couple of years. Like it's being discouraged.

What is he then. He isn't a central midfielder or striker either. Wing appears to be the place where he's best.

He plays like a bad number 10 shunted out on to the wing.. Maybe he's a bad number 10?

Well quite. Imagine putting John Swift out there. How effective do we think he would be?

I've been told on here that the position you describe doesn't exist. It's just strikers or wingers. Can't remember who said it, but I totally agree with you.

Which is funny considering a huge quantity of the best players in the world play that position..
