Some stats

by Sutekh » 11 Sep 2018 10:19

Concerning Reading's season starts for the last 25 years.

  1. 2 points is worst start for 21 years and that season ended in relegation (as did the previous worse start of 3 points)
  2. Average number of points for Reading after 6 games is 7.76 (just the 6 or so points short there then)
  3. Win ratio in each of the first 4 games is not that great which seems to bear out the "fact" that Reading are the proverbial slow starters
  4. Win usually ratio picks up for games 5 and 6

Not shown above but the win ratio for Game 7 is 44% so there's something for the team to try and live up to at Preston.

For the record, Reading on average pick up 7-8 points from games 7-10 in a season. They'll need to do at least that I think this season to get to some semblance of comfortableness.

Can you also change the font to comic sans please? That's my favourite and I use it on my work email and reports.

What's the point of this?

- different playing, management and ownership personnel
- different divisions
- different stadium
- different expectations etc

FYI "Comic Sans" should only be used in safety warning notices ( for maximum impact and all that shizzle  )

Getting another thread out of our bad start to the season? At least it isn't explicitly calling for heads to roll I guess
