Hopefully we can nullify Jared Bowen. He would be their main threat.

I know it is early in the season but these are the games that we will look back on come March that would be a must win/6 pointer.

The worrying thing is who we have lost to at home, 2 sides that will end up lower mid table, one relegation candidate, and one side who could possibly be in the play off mix. 4 defeats out of 4 to them spells relegation.

SCIAG
Hound Loader starting for the U23s tonight but no Rinomhota. May be a clue that Rinomhota will be in the squad tomorrow - hope so

I'd focus on McCleary tbh - though he might just be injured!

Loader probably isn't what we need right now. Novakovich is, but...

McIntyre is the one I think we might benefit from playing - he has some experience at left back, which would allow us to shift Yiadom over and give us some better balance. But Richards is a better option.

I do find it odd that our fan base seems to simultaneously hate Liam Kelly and want us to play more young players. There is nobody close to Kelly in the U23s.

It's probably got something to do with our fanbase not be a gestalt entity with one consciousness.

Plus Kelly is in poor form and more of a force multiplier than a direct positive addition. And of course there's also a factor that you might want someone to step in in a different area or to bring diffierent qualities.

Kelly is hardly the yardstick to measure centrebacks, fullbacks or strikers by.

I do find it strange people want Loader to come in... we have four strikers ahead of him, three of whom have scored. One at a not horrendous rate and one at a phenominal minute ratio.

Anyone calling for any attacker to come in other than Bodvarsson is weird IMO.

I think upfront is where we have the best options, if not the best clear first choice combination (centreback). As always our problems are caused by the gaping void of quality or organisation across the middle width of the team. Piling on the pressure infront and behind it.

Reading: Walker, Yiadom, Moore (c), O’Shea, Ilori, Kelly, Bacuna, Ezatolahi, Sims, Baldock, Böðvarsson.
Subs: Jaakkola, Gunter, Swift, Aluko, Barrow, Meite, McNulty.

Hull City: Marshall, Lichaj, Burke, Stewart, Irvine, Kane, Bowen, Henriksen, Kingsley, Campbell, Elphick.
Subs: Long, De Wijs, Dicko, Toral, Grosicki, McKenzie, Martin.

No Aluko. No Gunter. Presuming Ilori as right back or more likely 3 centre backs. No Barrow either though.

Hope it does well.

Could be wing backs with 5 there if he fancies Sims to put some work in.

It's certainly a big oxf*rd you to Swift, Gunter, Kelly and Aluko. Bacuna lucky to retain his place.

Another game another day of not understanding how the XI will line up just from the teamsheet

May be O'Shea plays one of the full back positions, then 442?

Well PC has put his balls on the line and justifiably dropped some of the worst offenders

Swift a little unlucky but can’t be too suprised

Gone for quite a physical side. Happy enough with it

Walker is a very lucky boy, that half save was criminal

Much improved first half. Good intensity apart from the 5 or so minutes starting at about 18 minutes in.

Bacuna wonderful on set pieces and doing much better with Iranian Guy shielding the defense.

Kelly our clear weak point. 2 well over hit balls from good positions. Swift in instead please.

Walker looked a bit nervy..

Sims a huge improvement in Aluko.

Baldock doing well despite my hate for strikers playing as wingers..

Ilori is not great at RB but is 10 times better than Gunter. Can't wait for Obita to be back.

This feels like an amateur charity exhibition. Hull are genuinely the worst team I've seen, including non-league. They're barely even there.

But we've had our warnings, we could always still lose or draw, gotta get some daylight.

We look poor, but Hull are letting us play and can't pass. Ezatolahi is an odd one. Some lovely touches, very calm, good positioning good vision and intent. Then every now and then he'll do something so basic badly, particularly very soft or wayward passes.

Kelly has a rocket up his arse, Yiadomis so much better on theright, O'Shea has had nothing to do. Sims looks like a breath of fresh air, but it's hard to judge against Hull they're that bad. Still he could be shit and still ten times the player Aluko is. Bacuna better further forward driving us on.

We'll still lose the next game and go down, unless we can play Hull every week.
