Ex players goals

by Cape Town Royal » 22 Sep 2018 17:57

Took a last minute decision to wander down and watch Exeter this afternoon..

Would recommend checking out Pierce Sweeney's goal this evening.. absolute peach..

Both him and Jake Taylor put in a decently shift.

Great to get the updates from the Mad stad... please can we kick on now!

Been a good weekend for ex players scoring. Apart from Sweeney's cracker for Exeter, Simon Cox scored for Southend and James Henry scored for Oxford.

Then to top it off, Carrico scored for Sevilla today!

Jobi McAnuff scored twice yesterday, to put Leyton Orient top of the National league.

I got a bit confused when SSN said earlier that Dallas's winner in their MLS game was scored by "former reading defender Matt Hedges" Now I forget players all the time but I had to look this fella up as he rang literally no bells at all, probably because he actually played for Pennsylvania's Reading United :|

Saturday was another discussion in my head about why Matej Vydra never produced it for us.

In someones brain they're thinking we could have scored 4 more goals if we'd kept those 4 players

Flights are quite cheap this time of year.

Not an ex player but a John Mad Academy and Reading ex player, Shandon Baptiste, is starting for Oxford United and scored a screamer a few weeks back.

We would certainly concede less with Carrico in the team..

Sometimes I like to sit and think about what could have been with Carrico. Poor, beautiful Carrico.

Sometimes he must sit there, just him and his Europa League winner's medals, and think to himself "where did it all go wrong?"

He could have been a giant in the game. Instead he took the easy way out.

Isn't the biggest "what might have been" Cahill? I know you're listing players we had but we were pretty close to having him right?

Yeah, I wasn't including players we never signed.

I'm almost positive if we signed him now he would drastically improve our team. Maybe a swap for ALOLuko?
