To try and get something from the game:

----------------Walker
Ilori---Moore---O'Shea-----Yiadom
---------------Ezatolahi
-------Bacuna---------Swift
Sims----------------------------Barrow
---------------McNulty

But, damage limitation?:

-----------------------------Walker
------------------Ilori-----O'Shea-----Moore
Gunter-----Ezatolahi-----Bacuna-----Kelly-----Yiadom
---------------------------Swift---------------------------------------
-----------------------------McNulty---------------------------------

Assumes Bodvarson and Baldock are out.

Damage limitation? Kelly?

Hopefully the forecast rain will suit our style of play. Makes dives far less painful, and the woodwork might be slippy enough for an unexpected result..

Is this a game we can already write off? Is it a good one to start Loader in for that very reason?

When we lose on Saturday there will be meltdown calling for the manager's head which is ridiculous in my view. The question should be under what circumstances/manager could we ever get a result up there? They do leak goals and our away performances have been better than home...

they are inconsistent - they've conceded a lot of goals as well.

But they are imo the best side in the division on paper. Quality throughout the side. We could get something if we the CBs play very well, and Eza gets a grip on the game (will be a great test for him)

Don't see our strike force missing Bod, Meite and Baldock getting too much though, assuming they are all out. Definitely a good game to give Loader a run out

We need to drop Aluko, Kelly and Barrow, play 4 defensive minded midfielders Swift in front and Meite up front with the remit to kick the fcuk out of the West Brom defence and try and win some flick ons to Swift.

Failing that 5 defensive minded midfielders.

We're fcuked aren't we?

Loader surely must get some minutes. Wouldn't be surprised to see Aluko or Kelly dropped altogether from the squad with McCleary or Meyler coming in.

I hope that Dwight Gayle gets injured. I fear for us against him.

That melt down would depend on the performance. If it's a dreadful team selection and/or perceived 0% effort riddled with mistakes then it would be justified.

We're saved! As one of Meite's bookings was v Watford in the LC he's only on 4 so he can play at WBA. Yay!

WBA were 2-0 down at Sheff Wed on Wednesday but drew 2-2 with 2 goals in the last 5 minutes.

On the upside Darren Moore and Dwight Gayle have won the manager and player of the month awards for September so hopefully the proverbial curses will kick in.

Last time Clement said he got the team selection wrong, he clearly meant a different element of it to the rest of us, because he then continued to field one or two of the worst offenders in the next game iirc. So I'm not hopeful we won't be seeing Aluko in the XI.
