Royal_jimmy Some idiot threw some fanta orange bottle to the away fans. Millwall fans are a handful but that was just unnecessary whoever did that.

Back to the penalty.. it looked soft to me

Was it somebody From Club1871?

How are Millwall fans interacting with Club1871? Is it relatively safe or is there genuine tension that could lead to a bloodbath?

Kulshaw72RFC I can't believe we are winning a game at home.

Hopefully we won't do the usual clement 2nd half choke

Don't worry he's delivering the half time team talk as we speak.....

I think the best team talk atm would be absolutely SILENCE.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in them.... He must be awful seeing as we capitulate after every half time.

I don't buy that a team talk can be at fault for a poor start after HT. A tactical change maybe. And I could see how a good team talk could lift a performance, but switching off and starting badly is all players IMO.

A BIT?! I hope that person who did it is found and kicked out and subsequently banned for life.

What idiot does that again the fans that have the biggest reputation in our country of hooliganism. We are lucky it didn't incite a riot.

Honestly. Shut up. That was a half of football full of talking points. What did you think of our slow start, Jaakkolas clearance off the line, meites header, the defending for their goal, the penalty decision, the penalty itself, the formation, the line up, anything to do with y'know, the team. Drop this other sh1t and take it elsewhere.

Of course it does. You use it to get the team going, motivate them and boost them with positivity. It goes hand in hand with tactics. Look at the ones pep did in the man city doc. Clement is obviously is terrible at that.

I don't know to be honest I am not there today, all I am saying was the person who threw a bottle was an idiot, regardless of what team we were against. If it was a reading fan I would say the same. It has no place in football Imo..
But it seems like they are having so many shots, our keeper has played very well and we scored a couple of goals when we have been battered.

McCleary and Yiadom look to be a very nice duo on the right.

Not sure if its clear, but HT is about more than a motivational "you can bring yer dinner" teamtalk. Part of the job is to remind players of roles, to identify things to sort in the next 45 and also to refuel and recharge.

I think we're getting something wrong at HT and this is certainly one of the things you can put on the managerial and coaching staff.

Given you used an example of Pep giving a good team talk to have a positive effect to show I was wrong when I'd literally just said team talks can have a positive effect, that's doubtful.
