What has happened to McNulty? Whenever I've seen him he's looked lively
and he's a natural goal-scorer.

At other clubs they took of him "not being an athlete" (ie he looks chubby)

Some people are just that build... Franny Lee, Ken Wagstaffe.

I'm wondering whether Clement has said, "Get seven pounds off" and he can't/won't

He's looked in fairly decent shape whenever I've seen him. Thought he was lively in the first half up at WBA too, Clement just can't fancy him at all. Can see him heading out to League 1 on loan in Jan.

He just seems like he's not suited to a lone striker role. He has shown signs of being decent enough tbf.

Exactly this. He's never going to do Bod / Meite's job. He's the come short and fox in the box type, not the channel running line leading hold up guy.

I think Baldock-McNulty as a pair could be very good

True we can play lumps up front, but we haven't had a PARTNERSHIP
for quite a while now - nothing remotely like, say, Long-Hunt

and they weren't exactly giants

Both were pretty decent in the air tbf.
We need some aerial threat up top, just as an option if we want to go long with out making a sub. Would be interesting to see how we could cope if we started with Barrow, McNulty Baldock and Kelly.

I like McNultys movement, and he seems to know when to drop or play off the shoulder. Think Baldock and him could form a decent understanding, just needs a run in the team.

Bod and McNulty would be my preference, but either would require either thining our already frequently powderpuff midfield or dropping the wingers for wing backs and 5 at the back to accommodate a more traditional two upfront...

From what i have seen of him, he seems to have the willing to link up play and get forward. Playing him just behind Bod or Meite in a 4411 formation could work.

McNaulty seems to run around the halfway line like a wee Dervish – constant movement, constantly finding space and demanding the ball. Unlike many of our other boys, he seems more than happy to play a first time ball into space. Pair that with Bodvarsson’s ability to hold a ball up and a rejuvenated and pardoned Barrow down the wing and one could be led to believe there might be goals in them there Biscuitmen.

Aluko, whilst mostly hopeless, has occasionally looked like he fancies taking part in a game of football. But with plenty of better options, including (and I’m not joking here) the imminent return of Pelle Clement, if anybody wants to take him on loan we would at least get his salary off the wage bill.

Baldock. I just don’t know. I can see he’s trying, but then anyone can try, I could try, but he contributes so very little.

Other than that, the Tractor Boys always strike me as being a backbone of Britain sort of team. No neutral dislikes them. They’re always there. It would be a shame to see them relegated, so after Saturday I hope things pick up. But on Saturday I fully expect, nay, demand, that Paul Clement’s Reading 2 dot Zero continue their gradual conversion into an attacking football team and end the game with three more points on the board than they had at the start.

Ye-es, although it still thins out our powderpuff midfield from 3-2. I don't see him doing a lot of defensive work in our half if we want to get the best from him.

I like him, I think he's a longer term investment and otherwise just back up for this season though. Potential ALF super sub for the last 15 / 20 when uncovering midfield because we're already losing matters less.

You can't need to keep scoring 3 or more goals to win a game with embarrassing defending. How hard is it to keep it tight after scoring. Moore has been embarrassing. Should have cashed in on him in the summer.
