Barney
Gunny Fishcake We are 28/1 with SkyBet , I can never recall higher odds for a football team in a match.

Burton are 40/1 to win at Man City next week.

We’d probably be at 28/1 if we were playing Burton.......

But that would mean Gunny was over-reacting, that can't be right?

I agree with the poster who said that we should play the most experienced plus a smattering of regulars in the hope that they will remember some glory days from their past and produce one last hurrah.
For starters I would have:-
Mannone
Gunter
Moore
O'Shea
Meyler
Edwards

Add experienced strikers in McNulty and Baldock plus our most expensive player, Aluko, and we nearly have a team (of sorts).
Have the bench made up of youngsters just for the experience of being there and let 3 of them have their big day out as subs.

It looks as though Alexis Sanchez might play so add in to the side McCleary to rekindle the spirit of the Cup semi-final v Arsenal.

I think we should play Barrow and Swift in central defence and Aluko in goal.

See how the lazy twats like that.

A client is treating me to this match in a box, still not looking forward to it, it's going to be painful.

Have just looked at the odds with bet365.
It is only 25/1 for over 7.5 goals in the match.

As a serious bet I think the best value lies in Man Utd to win and for there to be more than 3.5 goals in the match at 6/5.
That allows for us getting a goal from a corner given away by Phil Jones slicing the ball into touch and one ex-Man Utd player (Moore or O'Shea) scoring with a header as Jones and their reserve keeper leave the ball to each other.
That means them only needing to score 3 for the bet to pay out.

For those that are mega optimistic they can take e/s about more than 3.5 goals in the match (that means Man Utd doesn't have to win to collect with Reading drawing or winning with plenty of goals involved plus paying out if we get thrashed.).

For the totally blinkered RTG fan it is 7/1 for the draw.

One straw to be clutched at-they play away at Newcastle tonight so we have an extra day and a bit of recovery time, something that managers go on about so much, however if their first team don't win tonight the manager might punish them and make them play again on Saturday lunch-time.

To be fair the FA cup is the only domestic trophy united can win this season, they probably won`t need a full strength line up to comfortably dick us , but I still reckon it will be strong with the likes of Sanchez and Lukaku Mata and Felaini in the starting line up.

Probably moving towards playing some of the younger players as a bit of a reward. Even though we'll get spanked, no doubts they'd love to play at OT. Yiadom really needs a break imo, thought he was terrible against Swansea

So something like
Jaakola
Rino Osho Blackett Richards
Ilori
Bacuna Swift
Harriott Loader Meite

Old Man Andrews

I'd personally have preferred to have got knocked out by League 2 side and noone notice than face this lot with the possibility of utter humiliation on live tv.
I'd like to think he picks an 11 that are playing for their futures and that those players know that.

Jaakkola (last opportunity he'll likely get to play against a massive club)
Youth team RB - Balogan? Burley? Howe?
Richards
Osho
Moore
Rinomhota
Kelly
McCleary
Harriott (deserves a 'reward' after scoring on his first game back after virtually two years)
Loader
Bodvarsson

Walker, Yiadom, Ilori, East, Swift, Meite, blank (just to make a point to Aluko, Barrow and co.)

Oooh 1,189 Double with Reading to win at Man Utd

We all put £1,000 on it (well 100 of us) - get a return of £1,189,000 each, and then we can buy the club
and still have half-a-million each.

This could be potentially the biggest hiding of the entire round. United are motivated, playing with confidence and scoring lots of goals. We are a league one team with no momentum and shite, miserable players. It's a shame we can't just default them a win to save face, instead we could get a 6 or 7-0 pounding in front of the country.

I think their forwards are weak and will struggle to score goals against our tight and strong defence. Expect an upset

If that's you're only point of disagreement I'm doing well!

Don't rate Mannone... he's on my list to give a 'good luck in your new job' card this January.

I realise that maybe implies I rate Jaakkola or Walker... I wouldn't go that far.
