Watching in an Irish pub in Rome. Only caught the last 15 minutes or so but very impressed with overall play. Unfortunately a combination of two individual errors (Swift’s ridiculous no look pass and Ilori not holding the line) and it’s definitively game over.

If we can replicate the attacking play that I saw toward the end of the half into our league games then we will be fine.

CavershamRoyal Apart from giving the ball away for the second goal, Swift has had an excellent game. Has the skill and vision to pick passes that nobody else in our team really has at the moment. Think he's being scapegoated a bit.

Interesting how people see players very differently. I saw Swift give the ball away cheaply frequently, delay passes and over complicate things in between playing some nice looking passes that actually achieved the square root of FA.

I'll forgive a player those lapses if they actually score or assist semi-regularly, or put a real shift in. He does neither.

Illori is useless. United 9 changes and jogging around like a training session and still 2-0 up. If they were playing somebody decent they would be in trouble today.

Lukaku offside before the pen.
Ref decided he wasn't interfering!!

So had we played this at home and no VAR it's no goal. Ridiculous

I'm somewhere between the two. Mostly I think he is a lightweight no tackling luxury who gives the ball away far too often. But occasionally he does produce a surprise pass. He has had a couple of those this game

You’re wrong

So me, bcubed, the lino, commentators and the VAR ref are all wrong but we should just take your word on it with no explanation.

Ok. :|

Fred was offside

Yep hold my hands up the initial replay I saw he looked onside. He was off

Blimey Aluko looked like Messi rather than Messy then. Drop of the shoulder and send a United player the wrong way. :D

Who thinks Gomes said shoot more at HT?

Already seen Swift lose it cheaply twice. #broken record.

EARLY BALL GUYS.

Great ball from swift then McCleary takes on an unnecessary challenge when he can just loft it over to our overload.
