Bolton lost but Ipswich drew.

Next away game is Ipswich, got to improve the utterly disgraceful away form which has seen 16 goals scored and 43 conceded in the last year (25 games). That run has seen just 1 win and a handful of draws.

Next week might a deciding factor in our season.

Sounds as if Rinomhota is out next week. Kelly and Ejaria injured today. Ezatolahi still out.

Leaves us with a midfield from Swift, East, Baker and McCleary.

Swift is really a no 10 not a central midfield player.

Looks rather bleak.

That's without the other injury news.

Is our luck finally running out. Last year we had a points cushion at this point of the season.

And do the dreadful season rolls on.

Bolton fouled up at Leeds - no surprise and Ipswich only got a point at Wigan.

Reading and Rotherham totally failed to take advantage though so it’s still all to play for. Believe that after next week the bottom 4 will have played all their games against each other

Still think Wigan aren’t out of it. They will be if we don’t beat them in a couple of games time though

Bolton home to Ipswich April 4th.

If we don`t win next week we have the dubious honour of failing to beat any of them.

‪Reading now has 4 points out of a possible 15 so far against those in the Gang of Four bottom clubs.‬
‪Whereas Bolton 9, Rotherham 6, Ipswich 5‬

True, but it does sort of show that the other teams can pull something out of the fire when needed most.

Well, if we'd beaten Rotherham and Bolton instead of drawing to late equalisers we'd be 5 points clear and looking safe so it kinda does.

Yes Ian

Just means that we have accrued more points from the teams above the others in the league of four.....means nothing.

It's always important to pick up points against your direct rivals because not only are you able to gain points, you deny them to the rival.

When we won the league, we did it beating Sheff Utd twice. Saints,West Ham twice. In fact those results against Saints and West Ham are what made the difference between third and first.

Likewise, when we got relegated under Coppell it was losing to Wigan and Bolton that did for us. Same under McDermott, Villa and Wigan iirc.

At least on this occasion we've mostly managed draws rather than losses, because obviously if we'd lost to Rotherham, Ipswich and Bolton instead of drawing we'd be 23rd and 5 points from safety looking doomed.

SIX points dropped from winning positions late in those games (two at Bolton and 4 against Rotherham). If Reading had held out in those games they’d be EIGHT points clear of the bottom 3 (currently 30 points would become 36 and Rotherham would lose 2 points reducing them to 28) .

Just goes to show how utterly inept the squad, management and tactics have been this season and all helped along by the unbelievable catalogue of injuries.

And it all could be a whole lot more embarrassing by this time next week of course.
