Nameless We definitely have an option on Ezatolohai. You’d hope we’dget Some kind of discount given how few games he’s played.
The fact that we haven’t sent him back makes me think this is a Stranded option rather than a Seth option.

Hound Isn’t Ezatolohi out of contract at the end of the season?
Would make things easier if so obvs

From Despair To Where? My only concern with Ezatolahi aside from his injuries is that I'm not alone in genuinely believing he could be the answer to some of our midfield woes and it's all on the back of 4 promising cameos in a terminally shit midfield.
I'm worried that he's nowhere near as good as we've convinced ourselves he is,

I’d rather go with a player who looked pretty useful after 4 games despite not being match fit or ever having played in this country than one who after roughly the same number of games looked utterly inept despite having extensive experience in this division and a bunch of international caps.
In other words given a choice I’d take a punt on Ezahotoli rather than end up playing Myler next season.

Don't get me wrong, I wholeheartedly agree, It's just paranoia that we're building him up in his absence because the alternatives are so shit.

That not withstanding, he seems technically good, is fairly strong in the tackle and has the makings of a decent box to box midfielder if he stays fit.

Hound Full Iranian international at 21 or whatever and played in the WC. Iran a decent side - some of their other players are going for £20m
I’m pretty sure he is a decent player from what I’ve seen

Yep. But we should understand what sort of player he is.
He's not going to score or create many goals and win us games that way. He's a central cog in the machine that will protect the defence and move the ball out simply.
I'd love to see him alongside Rinomhota. Those two and the improved defence and we could definitely afford luxury players in attack. I'd fancy a pretty darn good defensive record with them infront of our improved back 5.

From Despair To Where? I seem to remember Ezatolahi making a couple of the type of runs that Sidwell used to excel at, coming late into the box and getting on the end if crosses which is what leads me to think he's got more to his game than just being a defensive midfield minder.
