PoTS

by Sutekh » 21 Mar 2019 15:20

That time of year again and I've seen it mentioned on the injury thread so thought I'd separate it onto it's own thread so we all know where it is 8)

Can't really see beyond the three names below myself

  1. Yiadom
  2. Rino
  3. Meite

Can/could we include the loanees though?

For all of those saying Rinomhota, don't get me wrong as he's very promising and looks like he has a bright future but as for this - what he achieved? What significant impact has he had on the team? Has he played in a majority of games? Get a grip.

No I agree, he has played less than half a season. Yeah he has looked pretty decent and one of our better players out on the pitch. But people aren't suggesting Bod as POTS probably for the same exact reasons even though he has contributed just as much, but with fewer games.

People are voting for him because not many others deserve it. Christ, if Yakou Oxf*rd Meite gets in the top three, it's time to give up

Yiadom
Bacuna
Swift
.... but, of course, it should be Martinez because without him we would already be down....

Rino clearly the young'un.

Meite is our top scorer and also has a number of assists. Some of his goals have been belters. I don’t see why he shouldn’t be third in the running order.

Can we have two POTS one for permanent one for loan?
What do you think Sutekh?

My lists are
Permanent
Yiadom
Blackett
Rino

Loans
Martinez
Miazga
Ejaria
(of course Ollie would have been top if he was still fit.)

Because the award is called player of the SEASON, not player of the three weeks between October and November award, 6 of his 8 goals have come in three weeks

Apart from that he’s been an abomination. Yep he’s more deserving of it than a lot of people but IMO (rightly or wrongly) he shouldn’t be in the top three

Plus I’m still angry at him after Swansea when he was subbed off, I’ve seen players leave a pitch quicker when 1-0 up in the last minute

Very harsh to day he’s been an abomination. He’s got a vital winner and a crucial assist to set up precious victories recently and has been carrying an injury.
He’s not great but has contributed more than most this season.
