Predictions and bets

by royalsteve » 05 Aug 2006 00:19

Just wondering how everyone think RFC will fair......i think it will be a little like the step up to the championship where everyone writes us off and some teams dont take us seriously....though i hope our players dont have a first day freeze!

i put a few bets on anyway...some silly but anyway

Prem - Chelsea (yes i know what a traitor!)
Champ - Southampton (were a reasonable side but woeful in front of goal and have bought wisely - think Brum and West Brom will struggle, Sunderland will be in playoffs)
Div1 - Notts Forest
Div2 - Swindon (yes i know what a traitor!)
Accumulator odds - 758/1

Reading to be top after 3 games - 66/1

Reading - handicap +48 points from leader - 15/1

Brum have bought well, and not lost many. Expect them to be up there.

theyve lost their best player in pennant...though Dunn would be their best player if he could avoid injury....they did extremely to get £5.5 million for donkey Heskey.....5.5p is too much...however, I think theyll be vying for the playoffs at best

I've got £10 on it at 66-1. The odds changed overnight after those odds were to tempting for many on here.

Them, West Brom, and Saints to be contending for the top I feel. Getting rid of Heskey did brum a favour

I'm going to support Parky. And I think that Nob End will do well, so long as they hold onto Nugent.

ive got £12 at 66-1......like alot of people on here they deluged the PP site with bets when some posted the odds on this site....i tried to do £50 bt it wouldnt let me.....anyway its a silly bet but one worth taking......

i have £20 on the accumulator and if that comes good...not easy....then thats a near a cool £16K - good start though as Notts F and Swindon both won....early days

Don't believe in season bets, stake money wants to be in the game, not tied up for 9 months. Haven't stuck anything on yet, the beginning and the end of the season are where you (mostly) get the surprises and I don't like too many suprises.

If I was in the mood to speculate wildly, Doyle at 230 for top goalscorer has got to be a better bet than a quid on the lottery...
